The North Face La Fonda Down Jacket - Women's - 2008

A snap-back powder skirt and water-resistant fabric in The North Face Women’s La Fonda Down Jacket mean you can wear this fashion piece on the slopes and around town. The 600-fill down keeps you from shivering on frigid winter days, and a detachable faux fur trim on the hood adds Eskimo style to this puffy. Internal Lycra cuffs add an extra layer between your jacket, mittens, and wrists, and full Underarm zips come in handy when you venture into the park.

Bottom Line: A stylin’ puffy for the powder and the après-ski pubs.

What is the difference between this jacket and the North Face

What is the difference between this jacket and the North Face Tempest Down Jacket?

They are very similar jackets technically. The tempest is more waterproof than the la fonda. The styling is a bit different (especially pertaining to the pockets) and the tempest has an avalanche locator. The La Fonda is also longer in the torso. Other than that, it just kind of depends which one you think looks better.
