The North Face Dilithium 2 Glove - Men's - 2008

Count on The North Face Men's Dilithium Ski Glove when you need total protection to fight off spring-skiing slush or mid-winter chill. Gore-Tex inserts bolster the waterproof breathable prowess of the Dilithium Ski Glove's HyVent outer shell to keep your digits warm and dry. Burly Toughtek palm material stands up to your Japan airs, and full-length, over-the-cuff gauntlets lock out snow. The North Face beefed up this glove with Heatseeker insulation to keep your hands warm when you're waiting for first-chair.

Bottom Line: Waterproof protection from mid-winter blizzards to late spring slush.

Love these gloves

By:
March 13, 2009

These are my first pair of real ski gloves, so I didn't really know what all features would be important to me. The feature that has surprised me the most as being very useful is the string that goes around your wrist, so that you can take off the gloves and just let them hang around your wrists. On warm days, you will use this feature a lot to give your hands a chance to breathe! Another great feature, especially on cold or wet days (or days when you are wiping out a lot), is the tightener strap that makes the glove tighter (to keep the snow out). There's one halfway down the glove and another one at the end of the glove. I am using these gloves at Snoqualmie (near Seattle), where the weather is usually between 20F and 37F, and they seem to have the right balance of warmth to handle the cold days and the warmer days.

Hey just wondering if anyone knows how these go in the wet? Im not so worried about the cold but if your skiing in sleet or rain do they get soaked?

Pretty good actually, better than most, but still won't hold up that long, if you plan on staying out all day in those conditions, you will find that eventually they will start to get soaked through.

Great gloves for cold weather

By:
February 2, 2009

I usually have cold hands and feet but these gloves have kept me toasty to at least 0 degrees F. Definitely waterproof and seem to be pretty tough. Once the weather gets into the 25-30 F range and I'm moving around these gloves are a bit much for me. I would definitely go down a run over my head if I dropped one of these on my way up the lift.

Awesome Glove but Rope Tow will Destroy

By:
February 11, 2009

I love these gloves with one exception - they will be destroyed by the rope tow in one outing. I found a glove protector product at an obscure ski resort web site that will hopefully do the trick. You might find that the gloves run a bit big. I originally bought the Medium, and they were way to big. I exchanged for Small, and even the Smalls have a bit of room to spare. I am 5' 8". Overall awesome gloves.

Awesome

These gloves are amazingly comfortable and very warm. The cinch in the wrist and the gauntlet keep the snow out very well. I would highly recommend these gloves.

North Face is the Real Deal

By:
January 26, 2009

If your looking for quality and reliability, these gloves are it. I've had 3 pairs of TNF gloves now, all good! These are just like the TNF Montana Gloves. Super awesome. Great for bitter cold skiing. Gotta keep your hands warm on the mountain. TNF is it!
