The North Face Bighorn Bx Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Synthetic - 2008

Like the name implies, the Bighorn Bx 20 Degree Bag is a generously oversized synthetic-fill sleeping bag, and it features The North Face's Heatshield Optimal SL technology to give you lasting, durable loft. Long versions of most bags don't seem to get much wider, just longer…which is great if you're a beanpole. The Bighorn Bx is already bigger than most bags in its Regular length, and it's bigger around as well, affording Paul Bunyan types the same pleasant sleeping experience their average-sized companions get from The North Face.

Bottom Line: The Bighorn is a super-warm, super-sized synthetic bag for 3-season camping.

It comes with it's own stuff sack. Open the cord-locked top, push the sleeping bag into the bottom of the stuff sack, pull the draw strings on the top, & cord lock. To cinch it tighter, you can push down with your body weight & re-tighten.

Nice n Big

I've used this bag on a few winter wilderness survival trips...not sure it's rated as low as they claim but over all I'm pretty satisfied. I used it along with a gore-tex bivy so it was warm. Being 6'4" tall and 240lbs I found it plenty big enough.

Since these bags are the same, you need a left hand zipper on one of them & a right hand zipper on the other.
