The North Face Prophecy Jacket - Men's - 2008

The North Face Men's Prophecy Jacket protects you from high-mountain storms and valley rain showers with waterproof breathable HyVent DT fabric. If you start sweating so much that even this fabric's excellent breathability can't keep up, just open the Underarm zips to cool off during your hike. The North Face used high pockets to allow access even when you wear the Prophecy Jacket under a climbing harness or backpack. When nasty weather moves in, just pull up the articulated storm hood and cinch the waist drawcord to seal yourself inside and keep out the rain and snow.

Bottom Line: Bring along The North Face's ultralight Prophecy Jacket to help you stay dry on your next adventure.

Strange design

By:

The material seems to be great, and I like the high pockets...and that's about as far as I got. The jacket is cut incredibly short; I am 6'0" and 165 lbs, thin and lanky with long arms. The jacket left my T-shirt hanging out as I tried it on, and the sleeves covered my entire hand, with a size Medium. Bizarre. Never even got to test it out, it went right back in the bag.

JO, Paclite is a type of gore-tex material. this jacket however uses north face's patented material HyVent DT. Not sure why you saw "paclite" on the product in your store.

Great Rain Jacket

By:
August 22, 2008

I'm a 6' 200lbs man, and needed a light shell rain coat for my much awaited Alaska adventure. This jacket was everything I hoped it would be, extremely lightweight and rain proof. I was outside 90% of everyday for two weeks in AK, and never had any problems and GREAT RAIN COAT!

Great fit, just order the correct size!

Similar to TSaylor, I'm 6'0" and 165 lbs. I referred to the SIZE CHART located on the right side of this very page (under the Select Options box), and noted the sleeve length. Discovered I needed the size LARGE-- which fits perfectly! Love the jacket, and it's plenty long in the sleeves and torso. A six foot tall guy is hardly ever a size medium, and this jacket is no exception. This site supplies size charts for almost all products, so check it out before you buy. Five stars for this lightweight, totally waterproof jacket!!!!
