I love this vest but the hood is not removable as you state above. The fur comes off. It might be good to tell buyers the fur is faux. It has high armholes so I also recommend considering going up a size.

Really cute, runs kind of big. Not too warm. And many feathers coming out from seams and elsewhere. For a vest that costs that much, I'd say not worth it, although silver is great color and cute to look at. I expected more from North Face, everyone hires cheap labor and gets shoddy product. Disappointing!!

I am not sure how they did it to down, but somehow this vest is quite heavy and stiff feeling.

It also comes hits high at the waist.

I ended up returning it for the Spyder Charm Vest in black - which is like slipping into a warm dark cloud - wonderful!

I was very impressed that my vest came all the way to Australia in under a week. The vest is heavy but really warm. I am glad that I did not go to small as it is a tight fit. The pockets are so warm I adore them. A great buy!
