I love this jacket for a variety of reasons. It's very stylish, warm and has a great fit. I can wear it on the slopes and also around town. I received it in record time and have already received many compliments.

I havent worn the jacket yet, other than to try it on and prance about. First thing to know is I'd say the XL will successfully fit someone up to 200lb. I am somewhat less than that and have plenty of room underneath should I need to bulk up with extra layers(which I'm not expecting to!). I got the white and the only thing I think that detracts from the look is the cream contrast on the inside - that you see when the jacket is not fully zipped. I'd probably get the black and the eggplant too if they had the XL! One last comment - I dont know how they got the black jacket in the photo looking quite so shaped. Mine doesnt have that much definition and given that I do have a waist, it is a bit of a pity. Still love the jacket and cant wait to wear it!

I moved to Utah from Alabama in the dead of winter, and The North Face Gotham jacket was a lifesaver for me. It's dressy enough to wear to work, but it also plays well--it's great for skiing or snowshoeing. I also really love that you can remove the fur trim. All in all, this jacket is really versatile and warm. I'm thinking about buying another one in a different color for this upcoming winter!

Very good jacket

This coat was the most expensive coat I've bought for myself and it's worth every penny. It has extra pockets on the inside for an iPod or cell phone and very warm. It makes a huge difference just wearing the hood or not in cold weather.

I bought this jacket for my girl and she loves it. There was enough room for long underwear and a fleece on the chilly days with no fitting issues! (5'9" 129lbs size L). M was too snug with a fleece so I bought up a size.
Shipping came in a day early and the price was way lower than the stores.
She is a total snow bunny with this jacket!

Love it! But the torso is a bit shorter than I expected.

My husband wanted to buy this for me because he thought it'd look cute on me. But while I'm glad to hear such a thing from him, I was worried if this is what I will really like because I haven't seen the actual item. But after I went to some ontlet for a new jacket, I didn't come across anything that I loved, so I decided to trust his taste and enjoy looking forward to getting it at my door. And when I got it, I immediately fell in love with it!!! I'm a mom of 3, ages 5,3,and 2, so I don't usually pick the color white, but for this one, I could't think any other color for me. I just love the shape and the color as well, and also the fur around the hood! Oh, and don't forget. it really is warm!!! Did I mention I just love it? :)

I got this jacket for my girlfriend for Christmas. She needed a really warm jacket for cold Salt Lake weather, and it's super toasty. She has a pretty long torso though, so if you're a tall lady, you may want to consider a jacket with a bit more length. I don't mind that her booty sticks out beneath the jacket and neither does she, but if it's blowing snow, it might get cold on the lower back. All in all, another great product from The North Face.

I love my new coat, it's warm, it's fluffy, it fits great and still has plenty of room to fit sweaters/sweatshirts under it. I only wish I would not have bought the white. It gets dirty very easily.

If you would like to put a smile on the face of your significant other I would suggest putting them in the Gotham. This is a great pedestrian piece that does not disappoint. The fixed hood is great, and with removable fur they can bring out their inner Natasha.

This coat is the best, I went on a ski trip for the weekend and stayed warm and dry. This coat is not only warm its cute in style.......thumbs up on this northface jacket.......

I got this coat for my sister and she is 5'3" 120. Got a XS and had to size up to a S. She loves it though.
