The North Face Khumbu Fleece Vest - Women's - 2007
When you need an extra layer to keep your core warm, and you don't want any extra bulk around your arms, zip into The North Face Women's Khumbu Vest. The warm fleece adds a cozy layer to skiing and camping outfits. On warm, dry days, wear the Khumbu Vest as a top layer; the durable, anti-pill surface stands up to tree-branch scrapes. When wet weather rolls in, zip this fleece vest into The North Face weatherproof zip-compatible shells.
Bottom Line: Light and versatile warmth for your core.
Great fitting vest and perfect for a cool fall day (or a winter day if you live in the south like me). I normaly wear a size 6 top and the size small fits me perfectly. One note, the picture of the pink/plum vest looks a little darker than the actual product. The plum part looks almost black online, but is a deep purple in person.
Does the M size vest fit like a M Windwall Jacket? I am 5' 9" and tend to get M but some reviews indicate the vest runs big so I was curious if I would be better off with a small?
I love the Khumbu Vest. It's just enough to keep me warm and not get too hot. The fits right on, I have a lot of motion for my arms. Great product, thumbs up all the way
This vest feels like what you imagine recycled plastic bottles made into clothing would feel like: not that soft or pliable. The black color is a bit chalky, and the fit isn't as nice as portrayed in the picture. Is it that hard to make a vest that fits both in the arm holes and the chest? I'm a medium B cup, and usually wear a small vest, but this one, like many vests I've tried on, was more of a guy's cut. I returned it and will continue looking for a vest that has a more hourglass, flattering cut. If you simply need a warm core layer, this is a good economical choice.
Is the size Medium a true medium for a women's size 8-10? Or does it run big? I am long waisted but small through the shoulders and bust. Should I order a small or a medium?
Exactly like the Khumbu Fleece Jacket, except in a vest. I found that the vest fit roomier than my TNF Samantha vest and the fleece is much thicker. Love that it is zip-in compatible. I have so many black vests and fleeces, so I got the brownie color and it is a beautiful brown! Length is perfect on this vest as well...I'm 5'7" and it hits well below my hip. Highly recommend!
I bought this vest to wear in Utah while skiing. It did the job to keep me warm. I wore an underarmor shirt then my vest then a coat and was nice and toasty. I liked the fact that it wasn't too form fitting since that allowed me extra room to move while skiing! I plan on wearing this vest with my scrubs at work since the hospital gets quite cool late at night for some crazy reason! Love it!!
I find the vest runs a tad smaller than the khumbu jacket that I own, which is why I returned the size small for a medium. I normally wear a 4/6 top. It its constructed beautifully and washes nicley. I highly recommend this vest. It is so versatile. I wear it on a cold day over a long sleeve t-shirt around the house and I love it over underarmor when I run in the winter.
I have been wearing the crap out of this thing. The brown was out of the ordinary black...has been for cold days to wear inside and good for milder winter days to wear in liu of my windwall (longsleeve NF jacket). Love it!
I am typically a size small in The North Face Fleeces so I order this vest in a small and had to return it for the extra small. The small was way to big and even the extra small was not as form fitting as I thought the picture suggested. The white is really pretty and can be worn alone but I thnk it is to bulky to wear under any of my other fleeces.
