The North Face Decagon Jacket - Men's - 2007

Some jackets are waterproof, but stuffier than a crowded gondola. Other jackets are breathable, but they absorb water like a sponge. Thanks to waterproof breathable fabric and Underarm zips, The North Face Men's Decagon Jacket keeps you dry during wet winter storms, and cools you off once the sun comes out. A gripper powder skirt blocks snow, and the Decagon Jacket's hood protects your head. Stash your music player in the internal media pocket, and keep a trail map and keys in this ski jacket's chest cargo pockets. Layer a warm fleece under the Decagon ski shell on cold winter days.

Bottom Line: The North Face Decagon Jacket protects you on fluffy powder days and slushy spring days.

Great Shell

By:
September 22, 2008

I've worn this jacket for the past two seasons and it has held up nicely. Waterproof, lightweight, lots of pockets, and good-looking. The Decagon Jacket has survived over 100+ days in Utah, plus the occasional trip to Colorado and BC. I wouldn't use it for an everyday jacket in the Pacific Northwest, but an awesome jacket for light Utah snow.

Versatile Shell

I bought this as a shell for rain, hiking and mountain wear also. Was concerned it may be a bit heavy but pleasantly surprised. Is lightweight with a velor style lining, waterproof and stylish.

Good for skiing and all-around wear

By:
February 25, 2008

Bought the Decagon in L-size, for my son. He used it during last week's ski trip to Mammoth Lakes. We had several windy, snowy days, and the Decagon performed admirably, keeping the wind and moisture completely outside the shell, while remaining breathable. There was room underneath for 1 thick fleece and 2 lighter layers, plus adequate freedom of movement at the arm holes -- one should choose a size anticipating the use of underlayers. The built-in hood was easy to pull over one's head while wearing gloves. The Decagon should also make a good all-around, outer shell. Overall, we are pleased with this product. This site's customer service was excellent. Item shipped with a day or so of ordering.

Still haven't worn it but I am looking forward to

I got the yellow one since my old ski jacket is 8 years old. It has a great fit and the material feels excellent. I look forward to next year's ski season to use the jacket.
