Everything about the coat exceeds our expectations and our son loves it! A great coat he can stuff into his backpack when the other one was too bulky. Backcountry has great prices and quick shipping. The online chat is really helpful when you have questions about product sizing.

Boys Bionic is a hit

By:
August 1, 2008

The boys North Face Bionic coat is a new favorite of my sons! It is a generous fit, so don't buy it large or you will be swimming in it! I only wish the boys bionic was like the adult mens bionic which have velcro on the arms to be able to control the tightness and the length of the arms. All and all, the coat is awesome and it will be hitting the slopes this winter for sure! Thanks so much for getting it out to us so soon and for your awesome and EASY return policy. (We bought the coat too large and needed a smaller size and it was simple to return it back to you!)

First slim jacket

By:
December 18, 2008

I love this jacket. It blocks wind and stays pretty warm. The cold air comes in through the sleeves, but a nice pair of gloves can keep them out.

This is my first jacket that fits just right, not too big. Although I would say that it feels like wearing a suit jacket, but this is more flexible. It amazingly fits my large fleece inside despite the narrow space in the sleeves.

I tried both on today... the womens jacket has a different cut (shorter front) the boys large was comparable to the women small as far as the arm tampering towards the wrist (which was a little snug for my long sleeve shirt under it) Im 5'6" 120. I did like the xl better because the sleeves were a longer and it was a little bigger.

Nice jacket!

My son loves this jacket so far. Sheds light rain, sleet, snow and is warm, but not clammy (breathes well). He plans to use it for school, hiking, and skiing this year. As the other reviewer said: it runs a little large.

No. this is a good coat, but not a SHELL. Shells are super waterproof. This is not.

Totally pleased!

My son loves the coat! He wanted one just like dad's and this jacket is great. It is perfect for the Northwest, as it sheds everything we've been in so far. We look forward to taking it skiing and snowshoeing in the upcoming months. Best feature: totally wind proof!
