The North Face Grace Jacket - Women's - 2007

You've spent all day picking out the perfect dinner outfit. Make sure it stays dry with The North Face Women's waterproof, ¾-length Grace Jacket. Protected by this seam-sealed jacket's waterproof HyVent fabric, you're sure to make it to the restaurant looking as great as you did at home. The Grace Jacket's hood keeps your head dry when you're making your commute in a rain storm, and removes for evenings when the weather doesn't warrant it. If you're heading out to a dull lunch meeting, slip your music player into the internal media pocket and keep yourself entertained. The Grace Jacket's split hem won't inhibit your stride, and two front pockets keep your hands dry.

Bottom Line: Stay dry during your night on the town with The North Face Women's Grace Jacket.

Runs small

By:
May 3, 2007

This item is cut for "junior" sizing, not "misses". The sleeves are plenty long enough - but the body and arms run tight, not loose fitting. Cute color, pale sea foam.

Good jacket for NYC

By:
December 1, 2008

Overall great jacket. Nice look- good for the city. A little disappointed that the color is not "true" black. They really should sell it as navy/midnight blue. However, I'm keeping it. Not meant for warmth, so be sure to wear a warm base layer if it's cold outside. Very lightweight. Other than the color my only other complaint would be lack of ventilation under the armpits.

Great purchase

By:
November 5, 2007

I am so happy that I bought this jacket. It rains over 6 months of the year here on the west coast and I really don't mind the thought of the rain now that I will be dry wearing this jacket! It fits nicely with room for a light sweater or fleece as an under layer for the cooler weather. I love the length and the belt too. It gives it a great, fitted shape. Pockets are in the perfect position and deep and my I-Pod fits in the breast pocket with the slit inside for the headphones to go inside of the jacket and be comfortable and dry!!! I love it. I highly recommend this rain jacket.

**The Must Have Raincoat**

By:
November 30, 2007

If you love North Face, you will adore everything about this piece; completely tailored and fits ridiculously amazing - totally stylish in the rain or during dry weather when you want the weight of a shell, still keeps you warm w/ a sweater underneath for 50 degree weather - i cannot say enough about this coat, the fit is superb, technology lives up and worth every penny!

stylish, light, comfortable

By:
October 31, 2007

i love this jacket. light, but keeps you warm. i got it in moonlight ivory and it looks great. hood is deep enough to protect your head from the rain even if you're wearing a ponytail (which was my problem with other rain coats). pockets are big and cozy. highly recommend it to all.

I love this jacket!

By:
October 26, 2007

The Grace Jacket was a bit expensive for an unlined rain slicker but it is the only one I found that was extremely stylish. I'm sick of boxy outerwear. Also it is not black (like all of my clothes!) The brown has a nice soft, yet hip look. The deep pockets can hold a wallet. It is totally waterproof and long enough to cover thighs. I love this jacket.

In like with this jacket

By:
December 27, 2007

I thought the price was expensive so I hope the jacket lasts for several years.
I like the fact that it's lightweight, and taking into consideration the previous postings about size I managed to pick the right size that lets me wear a sweater or thick cardigan underneath and still feel comfortable and warm. No need to deal with bulky cumbersome coats.
And I know it won't take up much space if I pack it up for a trip.
The black is not really it black. It's almost navy blue. I've held it up against a lot of my black clothes, and it's not black.
I was expecting the hood to fit more snuggly, and stay on my head while I ride my bike or even walk, but I'm always trying to keep it on my head.

Perfect Rain Coat

By:
August 3, 2007

Needed a light, mid-length, waterproof, and stylish raincoat for all those wet days. This raincoat was absolutely it. Cost was reasonable. Fit was accurate. Nothing to criticize, only commend. Great job The North Face - this is definitely a winner and not a runner-up.

Agree with below - sizing weird

By:
July 24, 2007

I agree about the sizing -- the "juniors" comment makes sense. I really wanted to like this jacket, and it fit in the shoulders and arm length -- but when I was messing with the hood I noticed how tight the arms were. And something about it just looked strange. Also, the hood might be functional, but it seems they made it "helmet compatible" -- which makes it look very odd when you're wearing it without a helmet. And why would you be wearing a helmet with a LONG jacket? I picked a different shell and will probably get a non-technical long coat for going out evenings instead. I have seen some very good reviews of this jacket, and it probably fits petite women well.

No buts here.

By:
March 11, 2008

I have to say I was nervous buying this, but it's great! I take small or med in TNF depending on cut and bought a small Grace because that was all I could get in my colour (Seafoam). It was a little brighter than I thought but great, and the fit is perfect. I could wear a light layer maybe Merino for warmth, and still raise my arms, better than I can in my Apex Bionic small. Perfect for my mild temperature, heavy rain needs.

Best Rainjacket!

By:
March 28, 2008

I've been searching for a jacket like this forever it seems, one that is lightweight, keeps me dry and is long in length this jacket does it all! It keeps me dry and looking stylish at the same time! I highly recommend it! I got it in color brownie which matches almost everything the only negative comment is that the belt sits a little high for my liking.

Great Light Weight Jacket!

By:
May 9, 2007

Took this to Paris. It's light weight and doesn't take up much space in a suitcase. It was just what was needed for a spring shower.

Everything you want in a raincoat...

By:
February 28, 2008

The North Face Grace Jacket is a great rain coat. It's feminine, fits true to size, light, breathable, flattering on the body, and stylish. It can be worn to work or play. For slightly chillier days, a light shell should be worn underneath. There is also an insulated version of the TNF Grace Jacket for colder days that I'm sure is worth checking out. I love it!
