The North Face Chameleon Hydration Pack - 2007

Use The North Face Chameleon Hydration Pack as a low-profile pack for a quick bike ride, or expand the main compartment to 1200 cubic inches of cargo space for your all-day treks. Stay hydrated with 3 liters of water in the reservoir, and keep cool with the lightweight foam panels in the Chameleon Hydration Pack's back panel and straps. Bring an extra jacket and snacks in the main compartment for weather changes and fuelling on the trail. Side mesh pockets hold your maps, and the front stash pocket keeps lip balm and sunscreen accessible. Nalgene's water reservoir includes an easy one-hand on and off bite valve and an antimicrobial treatment to prevent bacteria growth.

Bottom Line: Change The North Face Chameleon Hydration Pack to fit your day pack needs.

Can you turn the blue ring on the bite valve 90 degrees and get flow? Another thing, on these types of bite valves you you have bite down quite hard the first time to open up seal, you should hear a small pop. After that the bite doesn't have to be that hard to get fluid to flow.

small but good

I had never bought The North Face gear until I recently traveled out to Washington to do some hiking. When I got the bag I thought it was a little too small but it did the job for the most part. This pack is very good for day hikes and overnight trips. My favorite part is the hydration pack, the nipple on the bag hooks to your bag with a magnet and is very cool. Overall it is a nice high quality bag but it is much smaller then it looks in the pictures but it is light and was great for hiking.
