The North Face Vortex Triclimate Jacket - Men's - 2006

Insulated liner and waterproof, breathable shell combine to form Voltron! Wait, no, they form The North Face Vortex Triclimate Jacket. The Triclimate liner zips out and becomes a wind resistant light insulated jacket in and of itself. Both the shell and liner can be used together or alone to adapt to changing conditions, making the Vortex Acclimate among the most versatile coats available. The Shell portion is made from North Face's HyVent laminate, and features core vents to enhance breathability on warmer days. The Acclimate liner is a soft, comfy insulated coat with 100g of synthetic insulation that retains most of its warmth, even when wet. Dry and warm is the name of the game on the mountain, and the Vortex Acclimate has both bases covered.

Bottom Line: Form arms and body!

I bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it! It wore it to a Kansas city, mo football game and was complaining because it was to warm. He loves it, and would highly recommend it!!! We also have been so satisfied with your customer service. You are so helpful every time I call. It is always such a pleasure talking to you. Great Coat & Fabulous Company!

Great Jacket

By:

Gotta love springtime in the Rockies! Rain at lower elevations and snow at higher elevations. Windy and cold one moment, then sunny and warm. Didn't matter to me because this jacket handled it all. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a jacket that can handle all sorts of weather conditions.

Good Jacket.

This jacket is great for skiing in the NW. It has all the pockets you need. The only improvement I would recommend is that the powder skirt is unusable when your rolling with the insulating liner jacket. Which kind of sucks when the powder is deep and the temps are frigid.

Awesome Jacket!!!

I bought this specifically for a trip to Oregon this past November. The weather was rainy and cold all week (as is usual this time of year), but that didn't keep me from venturing out. The North Face Vortex Triclimate Jacket performed beautifully. I had no problem staying dry and toasty, even in the cold mist of Multnomah Falls. It quickly changes from a full winter coat to a water-proof rain shell when it warms up but the rain continues to fall. This jacket is very versatile and the insulated inner shell is also nice on its own in the right conditions. I have always trusted The North Face Products and this one has lived up to and exceeded my expectations.

I already knew I would like it...

I had this same jacket (different colors, though) while working as a Liftie at Snowbird in UT. There were mornings where the temps were in the single digits and the snow was blowing sideways, and I was STILL sweating because this coat kept me that warm. The liner itself is comfy and will keep you warm. I HIGHLY recommend this jacket to anyone who is serious about staying comfortable while in harsh conditions.

Best winter jacket I have ever owned!!!

I am very pleased with my new North Face jacket. I purchased the Indian Clay Red color, and was quite amazed at the warmth it provides. I have also purchased North Face boots, gloves, and a beanie. I know that any future gear I buy will be North Face products, I think they're awesome!!!

too bad it hasn't been a colder winter

i love my The North Face jacket! this jacket is well worth the price. it's three coats in one and very versatile. i get hot and sweat really easily so i liked the removable heatseeker lining as well as the ventilation pockets. also a fan of the multiple pockets, especially on the arm. plus it does a hell of a job protecting me from the elements. it seemed light at first, but after walking a few blocks, the heatseeker lining really did its job. i give it a 10 out of 10.

Great coat - got it in moss green with cream detail

I love this coat, it's not The North Face's most pricey by any means yet has two significant advantages of their premier jacket the Free Thinker. 1/ The hood is removable, this is a big plus for those of us who like to get some speed up and if you fall over in powder having a hood on your jacket can be a major inconvenience. The hood is really well designed with a peak which effectively keeps the rain of your face and has a sublimely designed draw string arrangement that gathers the hood in for a snug fit in the wind without distorting the shape of the hood or the effectiveness of the peak 2/ The liner is removable, this is great because all you need on the mountain is a water proof shell over your layers but when heading to the boozer, stick the liner in and you can get away with a t shirt. I've worn this jacket pretty much all year as it looks good with jeans and again the liner makes it versatile in all weather. Teamed with dark brown TNF ski pants to which the powder skirt can be connected to prevent it riding up and the look is super tasty.

Vortex Triclimate Jacket - Men's

Absolutely the warmest, lightest and most functional jacket I have owned and on the market. Great for skiing and hiking. Vents work great in warmer weather. Very comfortable to wear. Exceeded all my expectations.

Great jacket

By:
February 7, 2007

This is a really great jacket. Its got plenty of movement and lots of pockets. The liner is light, but pretty warm. I would recommend some layers for colder outings. My only gripe is that the zipper can be a little difficult to line up just right, but only every once in a while.

vortex triclimate jacket

This was an outstanding choice for someone needing both urban sharp and backcountry performance. The weather resistance is maximum and the the warmth rating of the liner is terrific. For someone who needs a cold and wet weather combo for a wide range of climates this the the ONE!
