The North Face Verdi Down Jacket - Men's - 2006

Suit up for cold days and freezing nights in The North Face Men's Verdi Down Jacket. With warm 600-fill down and a highly water-resistant shell, this jacket has your back. Most at home at resorts, the Verdi sports skier-friendly features like a tuckaway powder skirt, a goggle cloth and pocket, and a Recco avalanche reflector, plus the thermal-regulating properties of down insulation. When the weather warms up, unzip the pit vents to let out some extra heat. Mesh gussets wick moisture and aid in mobility. This winter coat includes pant-to-jacket locks that seal out incoming snow, and a hidden media pocket to let you jam out while you make tracks.

Bottom Line: The North Face Verdi Down Jacket is a winter lover's best friend.

Verdi

I really like the size of this jacket. It's not too short for really cold weather and it's not too long that it becomes and inconvenience.

The zipper under the arm goes all the way from mid tricep to halfway to your waist giving a huge ventilation effect. makes it more versatile but not quite as cool as a vest.

All in all, this jacket is a great staple winter coat if you live somewhere that the weather will often fall below 50 degrees Fahrenheit (as the high) and you want something waterproof.

It looks cool also. I got it in black and it has a handsome look. Not too sporty, and definitely not too dressed up so you can wear it over your nice clothes going out on the weekend as well as up to the mountain and you wouldn't feel like it clashed with your look.

It's subtle.

I can't say I've tested it in arctic conditions but you could be bare-chested under this jacket and still make a run to the store in 30 degree weather and be comfortable.

The Trip

The manufacture should add more pockets. But it is solid and yet light. You don't feel your back pack when you carry it. Good for traveling. I just flew with this baby to the Caribbean! On the way back to NY, I was able to battled the nasty weather. Hasta la vista, peace!

Warm!

By:
April 10, 2007

This coat is the warmest I've ever owned and the quality is amazing! The price was a little much, but for a The North Face Jacket it's not bad at all. It's down but it isn't that puffy at all and it can look sporty, dressy, or very casual! Overall it's a good buy and I'm really happy with mine, best jacket I've ever bought!!

this coat rocks, all the pockets are in the right place, the fit is small, it survived snowboarding very well and has yet to disappoint!

Quality...

By:

haven't had a chance to test it out on the slopes yet, but a very comfortable and warmjacket. I barely notice I have it on except for the warm tingly feeling I get. Great quality too.. but what else did you expect from TNF? Pit vents give you great options to regulate yourself... now if only there were a storm..

Solid jacket for the price

By:

While I won't use the jacket on the slopes, it's a great cold weather jacket for around town. The external lateral side pocket is great for keys/phone, so you don't have to undue the main zipper to get at stuff! Highly recommended.

Really warm, but don't get the brown it looks a lot better in the picture. This jacket functions really well. It is the first North Face jacket that I've purchased, and I will never buy any other brand again.

Just a brief note to thank you for the excellent service on the shipment of my husband's North Face Jacket which arrived in record time, with NO shipment fee. He loves it and is testing it out on the slopes of Steamboat Springs, CO.
