The North Face Big Shot Backpack - 2100cu in - 2007
Stroll to class and roam the trails while comfortably carrying your books or gear in The North Face 2100cu inch Big Shot Backpack. The Big Shot Backpack's stowable waist-belt and well-padded shoulder straps help you pack all the science books you can fit in the spacious main compartment. Replace those boring texts with some rain gear and food for a Sunday hiking trip. The North Face gave this pack two water-bottle pockets and compression straps to get it trail-ready for you.
Bottom Line: Go from tests to trails with The North Face Big Shot Backpack.
Great bag, 10/10 for style. Nice size, my old Jansport bag was 3200 so this one feels a bit tight but still good. The only thing kind of negative is that there is only one main compartment. Inside this compartment is a cloth separator for a lap top which has come in handy but not enough padding at bottom of compartment for laptop so be careful when you set your bag down. The middle section can expand nicely but in the front section of the bag, there are dividers for pencils and other stuff. THE ONLY ZIPPED COMPARTMENT IS AT THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THESE SEPARATORS! If you have books and papers in your bag it is virtually impossible to get to this zipped compartment. If your back pack is moved around or goes upside down, the stuff in the unsecured pockets goes everywhere in your back pack. The other thing with these pockets it that if you're trying to put papers or books into your bag, they will get caught on the top holder/divider. A great feature are the tightening straps on top of the arm straps. They relieve pressure very well. Also, the hide away belt strap is nice. Keeps them out of the way for school where you're taking your bag on and off all day.
the material is 180D Ballistics and The North face is Made in Vietnam Not China dont forget the sternum strap with the wistle but please answer my other question first it's important
The Big Shot was a great pack. It carried a lot of stuff for the plane trip and for the several outings we had to the beach and waterfalls. The only negative to the bag as I have been using it as an all-purpose bag since I got it has been the organizer in the front which would have been better served in one of the front compartments.
I just received my The North Face Big Shot Backpack and love it. It has a large main compartment and the laptop sleeve works great. I found it to be particularly comfortable carrying a lot of stuff in it. It looks great and looks to be a long term investment as it is constructed beautifully. The only drawback is the multi-pocket organizer which can droop when there are heavy items in it like a PDA and cellphone. Otherwise, a great pack.
Excellent backpack for outdoor or school/work travel! I wanted something to fit a laptop for travel and also something to use for day hikes and this backpack has surpassed all my expectations. I was able to walk ten miles with it stuffed with books and my laptop and never felt any strain on my back. It hugs the upper body the way a backpack should and has lots of padding for the back to provide the most comfort and support. One also has the option of tucking away the hip belt if so desired. The material is high quality, durable, tough, and the zippers are the large kind that does not snag. The only thing that would make this better would be if there were more padding for the laptop compartment and more durability, padding for the base of the pack. I highly recommended this for work and play. This is by far the best travel pack I've used so far.
This backpack is great as long as you're only using it for school. It's wonderful for hauling all my books and laptop, but I would never take it out on the trail. It even has pockets for pens and electronics. Plus, the pack board is wider than the average waist, so the hip-belt is pretty much useless.
This pack has everything you need, and has surpassed my expectations! You can use it for anything, from hiking, biking, hydration pack, or even daily campus use. Money well spent, and highly recommended.
I love this bag. It is a little too big/bulky if you want to use it for school, but it is absolutely perfect for hiking/day trips. Excellent quality as always from The North Face.
Ordered the Big Shot backpack for use with my traveling job, I love it! Allows me to pack the gear I need and looks stylish for all the hot babes too!
Backcountry.com was quick with shipping and I had it in service within 72hrs of ordering. It arrived at my doorstep in Anytown USA and was in Afghanistan hours later.
I like the bag very much. I used it for traveling. Its very comfortable on my back even if it has a full load. I only wish the pockets inside the main compartment had zippers. Anyway, it's still nice because it has a laptop compartment.
The Big Shot is very compact and sturdy. Its construction is great. I really like the hideable waist belt. When it's not used, is just disappears. The padding on the shoulder and back were also great. It could use some improvement in the organization of the inner compartment. I would like to see a more zippered/or enclosed compartment to store thing so that they don't fall all over the place if the pack happen to get tossed around. Also, if the inside slotted pouch could have a padding on the bottom sewn in. This would be great to use for carrying a laptop or anything that may be fragile.
I absolutely love this backpack. It works for school with my laptop and books, and I can scrunch down the straps if I don't need to pack that much. Its great to pack stuff to go home for trips from college, and for trips like hiking and camping. I love this backpack because I can use it for almost anything and it is really sturdy and useable.
