The North Face McMurdo Winter Boot - Women's - 2006

If your morning exercise involves shoveling your driveway every winter morning, outfit your feet with The North Face Women's McMurdo Boot to keep them dry and warm. The waterproof nubuck leather upper includes double latex seam-sealed construction, so you can trudge though tons of the white stuff without getting wet. PrimaLoft insulation ensures your tootsies stay warm when the mercury drops, and a TNF Winter Grip rubber outsole keeps you on your feet in front of the neighbors. Wear the McMurdo's without socks as the fleece lining feels soft and warm on your skin. An injection-molded nylon shank offers support you can count on.

Bottom Line: Get out there for your morning workout and come back in with cozy toes in The North Face McMurdo Boots.

Love these boots!

By:

I bought these boots to take to Colorado to use for snowshoeing. They were great!! My feet stayed warm and dry. They were very comfortable - didn't need any breaking in. I also wore them just walking around and they were great!!

good for even the cold intolerant!

By:
February 5, 2007

As soon as I got these boots I went on an 8 mile snowshoeing trip and my feet were comfortable, warm and dry the whole time. In fact, I had to take off a pair of socks because they were too hot, and I am the type of person who's feet get really cold really easily. I would recommend buying at least a half size larger than you would normally wear, especially if you double up on socks, as they are a tight fit around the toes.

Awesome boots

By:
February 4, 2008

There's a lot of snow where I live in Maine, unfortunately accompanied by really, really cold weather and living near the coast, ICE! These boots keep my feet warm and dry and make walking easier in deep snow when the sidewalks/streets aren't plowed. I could have bought cheaper boots, but these were well worth the extra money, and they look nice too.

new boots

By:
January 31, 2008

Had to get new boots b/c my feet grew after being pregnant. These boots are warm and pretty lightweight. Good for the cold days walking the dog in Cleveland. I think these would also be a good choice for snowshoeing.

McMurdo boots

By:
January 31, 2007

We just got back from Canada and the high was never above 7 in the day, below 0 at night. These boots were on my feet the entire trip and I honestly have never been more comfortable. We walked hours every day, went dog sledding, all kinds of outdoor activity, and the feet were warm. Furthermore, there was no break in period. True to fit..a wonderful product.

McMurdo Winter Boot is Hot

By:
January 30, 2007

Love the McMurdo Boot! Toes are toasty and the boot as a whole is comfy. There's only one drawback and that is the top lace hook doesn't hold the lace. Being 20+ years...okay 50+ years, I know how to tie a boot, but this one doesn't want to stay tight. I don't know if it's the lace or the hook...but something isn't working. So, I keep retying my boots! Any suggestions?

I was very pleased with these boots! I have been shopping around for a good pair of fashionable/functional winter boots & I believe these are it! They are very warm and seem to have the ability to withstand any terrain. Highly recommended.

Cozy and warm!

By:
April 30, 2007

As others have already said, these boots are cozy and great in the cold. I like my toes to stay warm and these do the job! They are a tad bulky, but comfortable to walk around in and always stay dry. I would recommend ordering at least a half size larger if you plan to wear thick socks.

Great boots!

By:
January 4, 2007

These boots are great! I tried several TNF boots and some Sorels as well prior to settling on these and I am certain that I made the right choice! These boots are SO warm, and comfortable! Many boots don't have good under foot cushion but these are great! They look good too. Great with snowshoes, playing in the snow, sledding, walking around.... My feet and legs were aching after some great snow days in my Solomon snowboarding boots so - on a whim - I threw these on and it was great relief! They worked great! As a first timer - I was totally impressed with this store, too! Great experience all the way around!

Fantastic Winter Boots

By:
February 26, 2007

These boots are fantastic and nice and warm. I used them in Sun Valley, Idaho on a skiing trip and they kept my feet dry and happy. The fringe is also pretty neat looking.

not steezy--cutesy?

I finally got a pair of these after a rough debate between Sorels and any other boot on this website. Though I can't really say if I would have been happier with Sorels, I can definitely say that I'm stoked on these. They are SUPER warm, very waterproof and extra-durable. Also, they actually fit true to size which I found to be one of thier best features. I'm really glad I did these over the over-rated Chilkats--The fur is a really nice benefit.
