This tent is awesome! Easy to set up and take down. Packs so small in compression sacks you might lose it and great for 3 1/2 season camping. I recently took it on a 3 day trip in the lower Uintas and it snowed 6 inches one night, and this little guy held up great. Stayed warm and dry. Also, it has enough room for my wife and I, and is a perfect size for our 2 person Big Agnes King Solomon bag. The vestibules are big enough to get decent sized packs on each side. I would highly recommend buying a gear loft and footprint. Perfect backpacking tent that won't break the bank!

I paid full retail on this tent, and it has proven well worthy of that price. I have used it on riding and backpacking trips and it has performed very well for such a low price point. The large dual vestibules are roomy and very convenient for gear storage and removing wet and muddy clothing. The large mesh panels are nice for the clear summer nights, and there is a good amount of room for 2 people. The place where this tent really shines is in the windy stuff. with the tent floor, both vestibules, and all four guy lines staked down, this tent is really bulletproof.

The major weakness of this tent (other than it is a touch heavy) is the ventilation. On still, humid nights, condensation will form on the inside of the fly. Staking the vestibules out a little further and higher will help a little with this problem.

All in all, I am very pleased with this tent and would highly recommend it.

I bought this tent about a year ago and went on one seven day hiking trip through resurrection pass AK, and didnt get a drop of water on me. i also left it out for about a month campin out in it off and there was no mold whatsoever im 16 and plan to keep this tent the rest of my life its that amazing!

This tent handles pouring rain, wind and sleet very well. No leaks what-so-ever. There was only mild wetness on the mesh, but nothing major. I was also very warm for 10 degree weather. The only thing I felt was an anoyance was having to find the outside zipper as they don't really match up exactly with the inside ones. Also the weight is on the high side, and being a solo camper it is difficult to carry while backpacking, but if there are two people it shouldn't be a problem. A great tent that stands up to the weather.

If I camped in the backcountry as much as I wanted to, I would spring for a lighter tent. However, I do more base camping and day hiking, and this tent is rugged, easy to assemble and comfortable. I am 6'4, 250, and I have no problem sharing this tent with my 5'11 girlfriend with a bit of room to spare. Easily my best camping investment.

If you're looking for a five-second tent, this little guy gets the job done. I have this tent for work -- so after 16+ hour days this tent = no worries. The vestibules are a nice size for dirty boots, firepack, and your favorite tool you don't want someone to steal.

I've had this tent for a year now and have used it on several backpacking occasions, and I have to say it was worth the money hands down. Every trip that I have gone on it has rained. Most recently the tent withstood a storm cell that lasted over six hours. I literally felt the water run underneath my tent and to the side of my sleeping pad. No leakage! Mud was piled to the side of my tent in the morning. Only bad thing is not much ventilation when the fly is up, and the weight might be a factor for some. Looking for a beginner tent that's technically sound, cheap and easy to setup. This is your buy!!

This was the first tent I have bought, so I am no expert. However, for the money I have been extremely satisfied with its performance. It is a tad bigger than most two-man tents and I love the dual entryways. (Good so you don’t have to climb over anyone to get in your sack.) Also the large dual-vestibules are killer. I took the rock out in the middle of a wind storm. Pitched it and staked down all the guy points, it stood firmly the whole night, even when my buddy’s tent was getting blown around. Also, I took it out during a heavy rain and thunderstorm, and I stayed completely dry and warm. A great buy.

My only complaint is the weight. However, you can pack the tent and rain fly in two small stuff sacks and make your camp partner carry one. It sets up quicly, is warm, and has plenty of space for two adult men. When I head out with my girlfriend we have more than enough room. Sets up fast, fast, fast!

Bought in 2005 used in BWCA. Only drawback is rain fly on both ends needs a tie-down to keep blowing/dripping rain away. I used two clothespins and a bungy to pull and stake so rain didn't drip/blow into tent. Great tent - fast setup - easy to use - light for backpack.
