I posted below a few days ago after i got my Boys XL in the mail...

I got the boys XL for my girlfriend who is 5'2 and 120..i messed up earlier when i said she was 5'4...nope...she's 5'2.

so she's 5'2 and 120lbs. she wears size small in everything usually...

I initially ordered the boys XL for her thinking i could save a few bux to put toward other christmas presents. when it came in thee mail, it was just wayyyy to big...

so, backcountry being great, split the cost of 2nd day delivery for me and immediately rushed me out a girls L.

that fit PERFECTLY. my girlfriend absoltuely loves it.

so i had a problem monday night, and backcountry fixed it by wednesday afternoon. im in PA, they're in UTAH. awesome.

so now i'm stuck with this boys XL which backcountry immediately created a shipping ticket for and emailed to me to ship back for free.

im actually keeping both jackets now.

my buddy jason, who sucks because he's a little guy and can fit into kids' sizes actually loved the boys XL... so instead of paying $131 for it here on backcountry for a men's size...he just ended up taking the boys size....

now backcountry, dont get mad at me cuz i sold him the boys size instead of him buying the mens size.

im gonna buy yet another denali jacket from you guys, and i have no choice but to buy mens cuz im 6ft tall and 220lbs...yeah what can i say. im awesome.

anyways...girls L will fit a woman who is 5'2 120lbs perfectly.

boys XL will fit a guy 5'5 and 120lbs....

so if you know a guy like my buddy jason who is 5'5 and 120lbs...get him the boys XL...and maybe a sandwich too.

Got this jacket in sz XXS for my 4 y.o. My son is 38 inches long and 35 lbs. It fits pretty well. So FYI there are the actual measurements of this jacket for sz XXS:
armpit to armpit - 14 1/2"
length (from the middle of the collar to the bottom hem) - 16"
sleeve length from armpit to hem - 10 1/2"
front zipper length - 16 1/2".

Great lightweight but still warm jacket made of wrinkle-free polartec which is kind of water- and windproof.

The jacket was a Birthday gift for my 12 yr. old son. He loved it, most of his friends has one of these jacket. They are great for all type of weather that we have here in the south. This fleece is the warmest jacket I have ever owned! I bought it for backpacking in the mountains of Colorado, but it can also be worn as a winter coat around campus of my university. It even protects against snow, as it is water resistant. The areas of high wear are reinforced, and I can already tell that it will last a long time. The people who work at this company are friendly, fast, and answered all of my questions. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my purchase!

I bought this for my 13 year-old son to wear to school, soccer games, to the river, etc. He loves it and says it is "really warm".

this is an AMAZING jacket. i got it for christmas and have only taken it off to wash it. Its the warmest jacket I know that's good for everything imaginable. great buy!!!!

These jackets are great!!!! I have purchased 4 jackets. My son has a blue one I brought last Christmas and it has held up so good that I got him another one this Christmas(2007), because he wanted a black one. My daughter who is a junior in college has one and she loves her. I too have one and it's wonderful for all types of weather. Trust me when I say these are great jackets and worth your money. No matter have many times you wash them, they look like new when they come out of the dryer.

Purchased the Denali jacket in XL for my 12 year old nephew. What a great coat! It's warm enough to be worn with a sweatshirt underneath on cold days. He loves it, too. Would not hesitate to order from you again, great service and quick shipment.

We are huge fans of North Face for the kids. This Denali jacket could be a winter coat, it's that warm. The color is bright and cheerful for the cloudy fall / winter days. Worth every cent. I love it!!!

My 13 year old son LOVES this jacket. It is perfect for the "winter" climate in central North Carolina. It was such a hit that I bought another one (all black) for his younger brother. NOTE TO NORTH FACE - PLEASE make a dark blue again in youth size...that BRIGHT blue doesn't cut it!

I was ordering a North Face jacket for my daughter for Christmas and decided to get my son this particular jacket. The process was great and my son was very excited to receive the jacket. The North Face makes excellent gear and we are very pleased with this jacket for him. He doesn't normally like to wear coats but this is just the right weight. This jacket provides the warmth of a thick coat without having the bulkiness of a thick coat.

My son loved the jacket. I got a great price and shipping the shipping was very fast.

I bought this jacket in an S for my 6 year old son, about 41 inches and 40 lbs. It does fit him big but I had intentionally bought it this way. An XS fit him just about right however I thought the sleeves went a little short when he stretched his arms out so I went up in a size so that he can wear hoodies or such underneath. Also with the thought in mind that maybe next winter he can still wear it!!! Its a light-wieght coat but it seems like it will stand up well to the cold weather, and probably with an longsleeve underneath. Would recomend to anyone.

I bought this for my son, he said it is the softest jacket he ever worn, I ended up buying it for my older son and myself. Living on the east it was the perfect jacket for our milder days, but even when it is cold and damp, it will keep you warm and dry!!

excellent jacket. this is TNF, so you cannot go wrong style-wise. excellent basic fleece, warm and cozy. wearable as a spring top layer. not very windproof, but that's expected. the durability matches the price- you will grow out of it before you wear it out. good all-round jacket

I own two of these at the moment, and can't seem to get enough. Totally warm, and comfy. I wish I had every color.

First of all, let me make sure you understand that this jacket is great and definitley deserves 5 stars.

I have 2 myself and wanted to order one for my girlfriend for christmas. Sizing always seems to be an issue when ordering online, and based on other posts i found that you can apparently order a boys size, save a bunch of money, and have it nicely fit a woman.

A couple reviews noted XL being a great size for women 5'4 and 120. thats simply not the case.

My girlfriend is 5'4 and 120 and this jacket is WAY too big on her in XL.

If you're going to try and save some cash by ordering boys size for a woman, my best advice is to take measurements. sure it is going to ruin the surprise of the jacket, but come on. It isnt that big a deal. you want to make sure the size is right and ruin the surprise vs. keep it a surprise and have a giant northface parachute on christmas day.

Last year I purchased a North Face for my son. He is ten years old and not a kid who really cares about clothes. The exception is his North Face Denali jacket. He loves it and feels cool wearing it, and I like how it keeps him warm. Fashionable and useful and washes like a dream. He misplaced his and was VERY UPSET. Luckily , he found it. However, he had a huge growth spurt so he wants a new one for Christmas, and he wants the same color.
You all had it and were great as always. And I was lucky, it was a discontinued color that they were kind enough to discount. Thanks for being a great company with excellent products.

This is a Christmas present for my son. His older sister has two and absolutely loves them. They are so soft and comfortable. She wanted her brother to have one too. Well, I haven't tried the jacket in cold weather but I have some notes. The color grey on this jacket is darker than in the Web site picture. The jacket did fit bigger than I thought, but I got it at such a great price, I know I will use it for a while. I'm sure I'll grow into it lol. Cheers!

I bought this boys jacket, because its XL size matched to me. I tailored off the sleeves to transform this jacket into a vest.

I use the cut off sleeves as a layer under my shoe gaiter. Worked out for me, just perfect.

I bought this for my just turned 13-year old. I got a Youth XL so he could wear it for a bit and it fits him fine now with a little size to go. He LOVES this jacket. First of all, he loves looking like the 'big' kids. Secondly, it is very warm yet lightweight. We just traveled to Italy and it was the perfect coat to take...very warm but not bulky. The price through Back Country was the best I have seen anywhere, hands down.

What a great price for a North Face fleece! It's thick and soft - far superior to other fleece jackets my kids have had. Sizes do run slim but that's great for my kids - they still have wiggle room.

I got all three of my boys one for Christmas. They all loved them. Great for running in and out of places yet still warm for longer periods of being outdoors.

I'm a short 18 year old guy and this jacket fits perfect in XL! I'm about 5'4" and 125 lbs. I actually thought this jacket was going to be thicker. It's more of a light jacket. I wore it class one morning when it was 60 degrees and thought I would be sweating, but I wasn't. So I guess thats my only complaint because I wanted this for the winter. Otherwise it fits well! If your a short small guy get an XL and save some money!

My son absolutely love his jacket. He's worn it everyday since he got it. He says it's very warm and at 28 degrees, he'd just wear a t-shirt and sweatshirt under it.

My nephew loves it! Perfect for three seasons here in NYC! Has a cool label for school age children in it were you can write the child's name in it so he doesn't get the wrong jacket! Super warm and durable !

It was very difficult to find a The North Face jacket for my daughter mid December. The gear crew were very helpful in sizes and style. I was able to order the jacket and it arrived a week in advance of Christmas. My daughter loves it and so does her brother who wore it skiing.

My two boys love their new Denali jackets and so do I! The best thing they have said about them is that they wad up nicely to fit in their backpacks when they get to school - unlike a big ski jacket or down jacket - which usually ended up getting left at school! And they are quick and easy to wash, they dry super quick just by hanging up damp and I love them - wish I'd bought them a lot sooner!

I bought two for the grandkids, one 11 and one 9. They have worn their jackets every day since Christmas.

I ordered this for myself (I'm usually a women's XS) and it is great. Less bulky than the adult version (no pit zips or chest pocket), but an excellent run around town jacket!

This was a birthday gift for my daughter. She loves her new coat and it keeps her really warm. I had to exchange for a larger size because the arms where a little short. I bought the boys coat because I think it would fit her better than a girls size. And shes very sleek and long. I would buy more of these for the future.

Wow. This jacket has so many great features. One it is very light weight and portable. Me being in middle school with a locker and all that stuff makes it awesome. It's so tiny but it suprisingly can keep me warm. It's totally awesome dude! it's all like cool. This is one jacket where you will not be beat up in school for wearing. Our kids hate to wear thick heavy coats and this one is the perfect weight. We are constantly going from the house to a soccer game and so forth. This coat keeps them warm and is quick and easy to get on. No complaints!
