You've spent all day picking out the perfect dinner outfit. Make sure it stays dry with The North Face Women's Grace Jacket. Protected by this 2.5-layer DT HyVent seam-sealed jacket, you're sure to make it to the restaurant looking as great as you did at home. The hood keeps your head dry when you're making your commute in a rain storm and is removable for evenings when the weather doesn't warrant it. This classy ¾-length rain jacket from The North Face also has a split hem and removable belt to add even more style to your night.
Bottom Line: Stay dry during your night on the town with The North Face Women's Grace Jacket.
Looks great - I get many compliments on it. It's a very light/thin coat- perfect for spring. Looks dressy enough for work, church, etc. It resembles a trendy trench coat. Sleeves are a bit long and can't be altered due to zippers. But, overall, I'm happy with it.
I'm a size 8 - had to return small for medium - runs slightly small - almost to the knee - I'm 5'4". Paper thin - BUT - its functional , stylish - and you'll have it for years. Love the sleeves - bell shaped at the bottom - NOT a problem - I wouldn't wear this in hurricane conditions anyhow. It's a long - shapely rain jacket. Looks better on when you cinch the waist with the belt as a tie. Buy it if you like it!!!
A very nice fit, sleeves a little long but still looks great on. The fabric/ pattern is cool-like a parachute! The price was reasonable also. Very fashionable for downtown Chicago!
I fell in love with the jacket online. I was so excited to order a stylish North Face Jacket that was white! The color is nothing what it looks like online, it's much more of a bone color that isn't very vivid or bright and it has a slight grey-graph kind of surface on the bone. I was VERY disappointed about the color.
It is a beautiful jacket, however, and it fits well. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, so I can't speak to how water- and weather-proof it is. The zipper sometimes gets stuck as well on the bottom, which can be frustrating when you are running around town from mtg to mtg.
I really wish the picture was more accurate.
I decided to keep it because I know the quality of North Face is quite good, but I will definitely take my time and go to stores next time to see jacket colors in person before I buy then again online.
This is a stylin' jacket. As you might have read in other reviews, it's not quite black--with a touch of purple. It fits great and the sleeves are finally long enough! Unfortunately, I had read about the lining and assumed it covered more than the pockets (as in, the whole jacket?). I returned it because it's not warm enough for the cold rains of Park City, Utah. If I were still living near Washington, DC, it would be excellent.
Apart from the color being more indigo than black, and the buttons being bronze (can't tell that from the picture), the coat looks fantastic. Being from Seattle, I finally look good in a rain coat! I use it as my working coat, and I must say I have never worn a raincoat as often as this one. Very girly, yet sporty and urban.
This coat is super lame. For over 200 bucks I want more than a flimsy, thin, uncomfortable "wind breaker." It makes so much noise when on, and even if it does keep the rain out (I never made it outside with this coat because it was so initially disappointing on sight)it seems to keep moisture in-- the worst quality in a supposed state of the art fabric. The sleeves are way too long and sort of bell shaped at the wrist, which is anti-intuitive for any stormy weather. It's best to have tightness around the wrist to keep the rain out.NOTE: this is a glorified wind breaker. If you are looking for a waterproof, light winter coat, look elsewhere. I'll be returning this (ANOTHER PAIN) ASAP: the description needs to be updated on the sight so you know what to expect.
I've been excited about this jacket for months. In fact, I even created a new designation for outdoor gear when it arrived. "Technical Casual" is the fusion of technical elements (Hyvent, waterproof fabrics, etc.) with Casual Ideals (women's fit, the belt, bell-sleeves). Anyway, the Grace jacket has provided me with opportunities to sway the thought processes of formal gear-geeks, business colleagues, and friends with its elegant and graceful look and ability to keep the rain at bay. I enjoy the opportunity to wear it. The only down fall is that the sleeves are a little long.
