The North Face Women's Freedom Pant gives you the liberty to ski, ride, or climb where you want when you want. From chairlifts to gondolas to hiking laps, the Freedom knows no boundaries. Plus, the impressive price leaves plenty of green in the wallet for storm chasing. Constructed with seam sealed waterproof HyVent fabric, the Freedom encourages you to brave the harshest elements. Extended thigh vents cool you down when you've bested the cold, and StretchVent gaiters keep the snow out. Articulated knees give you plenty of room to move, and reinforced cuffs guarantee your Freedom will last forever.
Bottom Line: Feel liberated by the Freedom's versatility.
I love these Pants! I got them for a Christmas gift, and then went through three Major Snow storms in Colorado, with a fourth on the way! I stayed warm and dry everyday we went playing in the snow. Only complaint is the inseam, even with the pant being a "long" they are almost short. Which seems to be North Face's biggest fault - the lack of long Inseam Pants for both Men and Woman. Otherwise they were perfect.
I just returned from Colorado skiing. Fit, stretch, design of the Freedom Pant were all great! One of the best features is the ability to tighten the waist easily and still have a hip that fits (usually a hip that fits means a waist that gapes on me). It was -20 wind chill on the mountain so I did wear serious undergarments for leg warmth. My husband ordered the men's version and liked his a lot as well!
I am not an easy fit for pants (small waist compared to my behind), but it's not easy to find nice snow ski pants in FL, so I bought online. These pants have an adjustable waist and fit great. They are pretty true to size. Very nice pants and they are plenty long enough - I am 5'-6". I will enjoy these for years to come.
These are great looking pants, I love the thigh vents and hook-and-loop closure waist tabs. They will help me stay cooler on days when the temps are 25F and above and have room for a good base layer underneath. I like the style which is good for skiing or boarding. Last year I used the North Face Freedom insulated pants and those are great for cooler days.
These still run on the large side...the small is plenty roomy, and the medium was huge. I am usually a size 6 at Gap. Main point is that thank goodness The North Face makes petite size ski stuff. These pants look awesome, too!
The North Face Freedom Pant (XS) fit my teenage daughter wonderfully (thanks to the adjustable hook-and-loop waist tabs), and look great on her! Lots of zippered storage pockets, and cool venting system!
I spent a couple of days on the mountain with these pants, and I have no complaint about them except for that they're a little too short. They kept me both dry and warm.
These pants are sweet. Really comfortable and very warm. I went up the other day and the high was 10 degrees. My legs were never cold. Also, they are very water repellent and I could see moisture bead up on the surface.
These pants are awesome. Not in that they look especially hot, or boast some kind of performance increasing mojo, or anything like that. But- they are comfortable, allowing you to modify your body temperature at will under a variety of conditions. To point: My first ski day this year was 10 degrees, 50 mph wind + fleece leggings i was totally toasty. The next ski day was about 35, sunny and windless + your basic light weight long underwear, open the vents and enjoy the breeze. Skinny girls beware, if you are more that 5' 5" get an XS long. but your bony ass will finally be able to maintain a stable temperature.
Like the pants, but they run very large; when I checked the sizing chart, I thought a Large was 30 to 31 inches in waist. So the guy on the phone said to get the XL, because my waist is 32. Well, they were huge. So I had to pay to send them back.
I'm 5'6" and weigh 125lb. These pants fit perfectly with a midweight Marker Polartec pant underneath. I comfortably skied all day in 15-20F. The color matched jacket exactly.
I usually don't buy any The North Face products, but these pants seemed to be what I was looking for. The inner belt is awesome!!! I usually wear a size 1, and the XS is just a little big.
