The North Face Redpoint Women's Jacket returns this winter with flattering new stitching, a fleece-lined collar, and the incredibly packable PrimaLoft warmth that put this jacket on the map. Designed for a slim fit so it can be worn as an insulating layer under any shell, the Redpoint Jacket is a must-take piece for extended backcountry tours or hut trips. Treated with DWR, the Redpoint can handle light precipitation. The PrimaLoft insulation provides excellent warmth and packs down super small for easy storage. When you make it back to civilization, the Redpoint is a great jacket for cruising around town in simple, comfortable style.
Bottom Line: Make it a point to carry the The North Face Redpoint Jacket this winter.
This is my favorite jacket, and I have many. Lightweight, very warm, and still gives you a feminine shape. I've worn it under a shell skiing and around town. It's comfy as your favorite robe, you don't want to take it off. My daughter kept stealing mine, so I got her one so I can have mine back.
The Redpoint Jacket is nice but not as warm as I thought in 30s-40s degree. I have a Lands End Primaloft jacket and it is warmer. My thought is the outside material is different. I bought the Redpoint Jacket for good wear because it looks nicer and the Lands End jacket to wear when I ride my horse. I thought both jackets would be the same in warmth. I'm a little disappointed because the North face jacket is twice as much as the Lands End brand jacket made of the same-Primaloft.
You wont regret buying this item. I bought it for my wife for our trip to Russia this spring. Although it wasn't so cold in Moscow by this time, it still was kind of chilly (39 F or 4 C ). At first when we received the jacket it seem kind- of light but it actually kept her (and myself, I got the man's jacket of the same model) really warm. Its much warmer than it looks. I strongly recommend it.
It's perfect. Warmer than my old fleece + outer shell combo and not as heavy/bulky as my down jacket. It's perfect for about 95% of the Boston winter. And I love the fleecy pockets!
Great jacket...for not being down, it very packable. Warm by itself, but even better, fits underneath my softshells or my insulated Gore-Tex shells to keep me REALLY warm on those days when I'm skiing & the temps are in the single digits and below!
I love my redpoint jacket. It runs big, I usually wear a large but got a medium. The sleeves are a little short but otherwise it fits great. I love how warm this jacket is but it's still thin and not bulky. I got soaked while wearing this thing in rain/snow and it kept me warm even then. I just wish mine had a hood.
Terrific jacket for the weather here in the NW. I purchased the Nuptse for really cold weather but this one is perfect for everday. Packs easily and great color, as well.
I love my Redpoint...I've been eying it forever and when I finally got it, I couldn't believe I'd waited so long. It's the perfect fall jacket (lightweight and breathable) and a fantastic lining for my North Face shell.
I have the men's version of this jacket and it's the absolute best piece of outdoor equipment I ever invested in. Now the "except" part; the ladies version has cheap woven cuffs that pill and look awful after about two weeks of use. My wife babies this jacket and she ends up rolling the cuffs under because they look so bad. She's actually thinking of not wearing it out anymore.
The Redpoint is a nice all around jacket for cool spring or fall weather. It is very lightweight and I like the fit...it comes down a little longer than some of TNF's newer styles. For me, it isn't a jacket for SERIOUS cold or wet weather (not down or waterproof). Try some of TNF's other coats for that. I bought the sage green color and I love that color!
I received my North Face Redpoint Jacket at the end of September and waited patiently for the cooler weather to comenow that it has, I love this jacket! It's the perfect accessory for the fall weather here in Maine, whether it's a typical cool fall day or a brisk, windy fall day, it keeps you warm no matter what you're doing. For the colder days, it zips right inside my Various Guide Jacket to keep me nice and toasty! This is a must have coat for Maine - and this site is the place to get it.
I love it...the color is beautiful...it is extremely lightweight and comfortable...it keeps me extremely warm...even on a cold windy day...and it is extremely soft and cuddly inside...even around the high neck and pockets.
If you want a lightweight jacket that will keep you warm and keep the wind away, then this is the one. On top of that, it is stylish enough to show off your waist and compliment your figure.
The Redpoint jacket is an excellent mid-weight top for mild to cold winter weather. For the later, it works well for intense activity as it is a good insulator. It is easy to move in, and attractive since it is figure-fitting. My only disappointment is that the zipper is only one way. I always like a 2-way zipper in order to adjust the temperature, especially when I am active. That isn't possible with this item.
I love it. Perfect for warmer days as well as chilly ones. The fit is really nice, I don't feel like I am swimming in it. It is lightweight and simple, and I think it works well for a casual coat and has potential to be dressy too.
My daughter absolutely loves this Redpoint coat! It's WARM, which makes me happy and VERY STYLISH, which makes her happy! Thank you Backcountry for a fantastic deal!
So far this winter (midway through December), this jacket paired with a The North Face salathe jacket has kept me comfortable in North West Montana. The Redpoint also fits comfortably under my men's North Face shell for cold weather skiing. I really like the fact that the Redpoint is not bulky, and a perfect weight for driving and going in and out of stores, shopping, etc. This is probably the best jacket for my lifestyle I've ever had. The only con for me, I did notice that the sleeve cuffs (dark grey) do not match the collar material (light grey) as shown in the manufacturer's photo. Not sure what's up with that, but maybe I notice more than anyone else. Still it would be nice it if matched.
The jacket is great. The only bad thing was how long it took to deliver. It was at least 10 days. I order often online and never had anything take so long.
