The North Face Redpoint Vest - Men's - 2006

The North Face Redpoint Vest is a PrimaLoft insulated vest best suited for technical layering. Keep your core warm while you belay, or wear it under a shell on blower days. Pack it with you in the spring when evening temps cool things down. 2 hand pockets add to the Redpoint's comfortable functionality.

Bottom Line: Stay warm, perform better.

Great lightweight vest

I got this for my husband for Christmas and it is exactly what he wanted. This vest is very lightweight but it also has alot of warmth. The fit is exactly what it would be with other gear. I would buy again in another color.

Material a bit too space-age looking for me. Bulky fit, not enough insulation.

Is this product good to use in the artic circle when you are

Is this product good to use in the artic circle when you are hiking and sweeting alot? Like is it breathable and a good wicking layer?

It's not a wicking layer. The inside is nylon. That being said, a down or synthetic vest would be a good addition if you're planning on some serious cold weather stuff.

Too loose fitting.

It is a good lightweight vest, but runs big, so if you're a thin guy, prepare to swim in this thing. Worked well with a fleece under it, but not so good with just a base layer. I returned this item. Ended up going with a down vest for the Marty McFly look I was hoping this would fulfill.

G'ood value, good function

I wore the The North Face Redpoint vest out in a light drizzle with my sons for a few hours. Temp was about 40-45F and a bit windy. My core warmth was fine. The drizzle shook right off and did not penetrate. I didn't feel the breeze either. the fit was trim but not restricting. I'm 6ft and 242lb. The XL is a good fit overall. I like this thing, light weight, and not puffy like a down vest. I think it would do well in temps from the mid 30's.

I ordered a medium which is the typical size I wear in North Face Jackets, but this one seemed really big.

The vest really works well and has a comfortable fit. Keeps you warm when its not cold enough for a full on jacket. Easy to layer with a water proof shell or could be warn in light rain or mist.
