Swix Touring Pant - Women's - 2008

The Swix Women’s Touring Pant’s comfortable fit makes it extra nice for a full day on the cross-country ski track, or just taking a cold-weather jog. Wind- and water-repellant microfiber polyester and warm mesh lining protect you from the elements, while articulated knees allow for unrestricted movement. The Swix Touring Pant’s stretchy knit back panels vent perspiration and regulate your temperature on any tour or stroll.

Bottom Line: Because it’s always tricky to balance warmth and moisture management.

I'm looking for warm, stretchy, wind and snow resistant cross

I'm looking for warm, stretchy, wind and snow resistant cross countrry pants. I need a stretch material because I have groin pain. So my upper thigh needs to be free.

The Bad News Wins

First, I loved these pants - the right combination of supple/stretchy material not too thick for aerobic excercise (I skate ski, run, and snowshoe run) in a great fit! Wow! Then I turned around to look at the back in my mirror, and ARGGGHHH! Whoa, what's with those big black rectangle panels on my butt? It's downight unsightly! I'm normally not very fashion-conscious, and often only have the company of my dogs, but somehow I couldn't get past wearing these square bull's eyes on my rump. I WANTED to put up with the eyesore, because I've looked so long and hard for such a nice weight and fabric pant (and great fit!) but I eventually had to send them back. The final straw was the fact that those ugly black panels aren't water resistant, and when I snowshoe the snow kicks up on the back of my legs - so I really need some protection there, and certainly not ugly black patches. Still Searching.....
