Suunto's X6HRT Titanium Heart Rate Monitor Watch contains all of the high-performance features of the X6HR, such as a PC-compatible heart rate monitor and altimeter, but in a super-light, super-durable titanium shell. Use the heart rate monitor and altimeter together to see how altitude affects your heart rate. The altimeter tracks vertical speed, records waypoints, and calculates cumulative ascent. The X6HRT comes with the Suunto heart rate transmitter belt and software that allows you to track and store the data your watch gathers. Computer graphs and records let you track your heart rate, vertical, and other stats for an entire season. Important features for adventure racers, mountaineers, skiers, a digital compass so you can take bearings, and barometer. The barometer not only measures atmospheric pressure, but also features a weather trend graph and weather alarm. All this technology comes in a watch with a menu-based user interface similar to your cell phone.
Bottom Line: Whether you train for an endurance race or love to record every inch of vert gained, you'll appreciate the incredible accuracy of the Suunto X6HRT Titanium Heart Rate Monitor Watch.
If you like style and accuracy this watch is it. It will calculate and record everything with constant accuracy. and then print itself. Its dorky but super fun to have those records.
If you have people who doubt you claims this watch will put them at ease. print out or just show the the log.
Sure, it's ridiculously expensive, but I've put it through the absolute ringer, and it can't be stopped. Keeps perfect time, up to the second, and the features are great. Only thing missing in my opinion is a countdown timer. Talk about the perfect multisport companion...
In compass mode, press enter to go into menu settings, scroll down to slope press enter, and the watch will go to clinometer mode and enter your slope in either degrees or percent grade. Pretty cool, haven't used it too much in the field. I imagine it'd be nice to measure while in avalanche country or on a killer ascent. In degree setting, the clinometer measures 60 degrees in either direction from level.
1000 USD for a watch that does not fit !!!! I collect watches, and for the first time in my life i buy a watch that was too small. IF you are medium built or have average size wrist do not buy this watch, i don't understand how hard is it to add one more inch to the watch to fit everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this thing. It's indestructible! Keeps perfect time, altimeter works great. Compass is dead on if you calibrate it and set it for your areas declination. Barometer came in handy during a mountain bike ride. I highly recommend it.
It's not really small. I've got an average size wrist for a 6' guy and I had to cut a couple links out for it to fit my wrist. Unless you've got extra thick wrists, this will fit just fine.
When first looking at this watch i hesitated when i read the First review, i almost dropt it. my wrist is 18 cm in diameter and i agree it not the bigest wrist but i had to cut of three parts to make it fit, so if youre about 22 cm it should fit.. Its a brilliant watch and i am so glad that i had to figure this out for my self...
