Suunto S6 Altimeter Watch - 2007

Suunto made the S6 Watch to give skiers and snowboarders extremely accurate altitude information for their day on the slopes. In addition to tracking real-time altitude and ascent/descent rate, it allows you to chart and visualize your day by plugging it to your computer with the included PC interface. Of course, it also has the features you expect from Suunto—barometer, compass, chronograph, and descent log.

Bottom Line: It's all about bragging rights.

A little confusing at first but great instrument all around just takes some time getting used to and learning it.. even comes in handy for the the kids science projects =)

I'm going to have to say the same thing as the other person. Its a great watch, has tons of functions, but you always need to switch the screen to see different things and it takes some time knowing where everything is, and the altimeter ALWAYS needs adjusting, I think I am going to return it. Its not a bad watch though, because as I understand altimeters have to work off the barometer, but I have to get one that doesn't need so much adjusting.

Opinions still in testing but after a month of use this is what I have come to. The ski program only logs up and down and time. I hoped it would log temp as well. It is pretty easy to use the program not much to be confused about. Cycling through the watch is pretty easy after getting used to where everything is and what everything does. I wish there was a way to put the time temp and alt all on one face and a quicker way to switch the logging times. Over all the watch does everything I want it to it just didn't give me that knock my socks off wow this watch is crazy feeling. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the alt/barometer setting to give me the alt. It seems to always need adjusting. Over all I would buy this watch again.
