Suunto gave the M-2D Compass an adjustable declination and magnifying glass to help intermediate to advanced users find their way through the backcountry with accuracy. A Good Backup

I always carry maps and an old-fashioned compass now - this compass serves that purpose perfectly well. It is easy to read. I am not sure what else you would be looking for in a compass.

A very basic but strong compass

This is not my compass of choice for any precise measurements but for a basic compass to have with you it does a great job. Can take a few drops to the ground, gives good easy readings and is very small.
