Superfeet designed the Trim-To-Fit Blue Insoles for your casual and dress shoes. These insoles provide arch support for tighter-fitting shoes like cleats or for people who don't have high arches.. If most insoles feel like there is too much arch support, the Blue will feel just right for you.
Bottom Line: Give you dress shoes the support of an athletic shoe with the Superfeet Blue Insoles.
I used these in my Montrail Vitesse and Continental Divide trail running shoes but didn't notice much difference at all. These shoes are already pretty stiff. In the softer Brooks Cascadias I noticed an immediate difference. My feet were not as sore after a trail run, they provided extra protection and of course support. So depending on the shoe they're going in they do exactly what they're supposed to. Dinged it a star for the price.
Ordered to attempt to improve metatarsalgia. Used in pair of Merrell Chamelons. Fit easily when original footbed removed. Did improve comfort and support, but did not completely resolve issue. I believe shoes are compressed from use. Could have used more forefoot padding.
my 8 year old son has muscles and tendon problems but the worst part is his feet are extra wide. how do i know if i order an insole that the with will feet?
With superfeet, your looking to fit the heel cup to the heel. Order a couple letter sizes (higher for wider feet), and when he places his foot (with sock) in the insole, the heel fat pad shouldn't spill over the insole, and he should feel like his heel is sitting in the heel cup instead of around the perimeter (a smaller size helps determine what is too small, you'll know).
Not sure if I understood your question, but hope this helps.
I've used blue Superfeet in several pairs of Montrail shoes, including Continental Divides and Mountain Masochist GTX. You should absolutely have these professionally fitted, because these can do more harm than good if they are the wrong size.
After a break in period, I noticed considerably less foot fatigue and better overall posture. I was on my feet on a concrete floor for 8+ hours a day, and go home to take my shoes off, having felt like I was sitting all day. On the trail they do the same. The stability and support they give your feet is fantastic, maximizing the performance of your footwear.
I initially used orange Superfeet in my trail running shoes, but I noticed with several pairs of my orange Superfeet in Montrail shoes that my heel would start to rub my socks in a way that I had never experiences before. After almost a year of this, I tried blue Superfeet in the same shoes. The lower profile of the blue allowed my foot to sit properly in the heel cup, stopping the rubbing issue. While I miss the cushion of the orange in the forefoot, the better fit in the heel cup is well worth it. While superfeet does design each insole for a specific purpose, don't be afraid to try different ones. A different color may work better for you.
I just finished hiking the Long Trail in Vermont with these insoles, and know that they drastically helped my feet out on the trail. Averaging 12-15 miles a day with a 25-30 pound load will take its toll on your feet, but the Superfeet offered great support to keep foot fatigue to a minimum.
These insoles are actually really great... however the blue are too skinny for my feet. My big toe hangs off the insole creating toe pain. Got the green ones and it is better, but still have some toe pain. A padded toe box would help. Superfeet make these but backcountry does not sell them.
Put the green in my snowboard boots and it helps heal lift significantly.
This insole is great when used in combination with the shoes standard insole. I have won it with and without the extra cushioning of the shoe's normal insole. I definitely prefer the added cushion when worn on top of the original insole. These truly help to stabilize the foot. No more ankle sprains.
These saved my favorite hiking boots. My boots' uppers were perfectly broken in, but the insole left much to be desired. I tried other insoles, but they didn't offer the support I needed. I put the superfeet in and felt like I had a whole new boot on. I have since put them in my running shoes, snowboard boots, and even my hockey skates! I love them.
