The Stohlquist aSEA vest has been terrific for use with my Perception Prodigy 12.0 kayak. This vest offers tons of adjustment and is very comfortable for multi-hour trips. The high back flotation foam of the aSEA is invaluable for many of the recreational boats with contoured seat back rests. Having a thick vest pad stuck between you and the seat back is not an overly comfortable situation most of the time; the aSEA takes care of the problem perfectly by putting the flotation foam above the seat back. Durability looks good as well, although time will tell on that one.

The best feature of the aSEA is the high back flotation. Ideal for my seat back rest. Very comfortable on multi-day trips with lots of paddle time. The front pockets are large enough to hold sunscreen, food and other essentials. Very adjustable. Seems to be well made, a plus for those of us who are rough on our gear.

Other recommended vest was twice as much, this one works fine, clears the seat behind, freedom of motion is good and floatationn is adequate.

I love the fit of the aSea. The design is smooth, like a glove. I ended up returning the aSea to get another PDF with a high back to avoid any rubbing, riding up against my kayak seat/cockpit opening, but aside from that issue, the aSea is a great PDF.

I wear my Stohlquist Life Jacket when kayaking. It is comfortable and allows for full arm movement. I highly recommend.

I bought this jacket for use on my kayak and could not be happier with it. Total comfort to the point of forgetting it's even there. Snaps and straps are very high quality and I suspect this will be the last PFD I will ever need. I now also use it on my Boston Whaler as the PFD of choice. Great product.

I bought two of them, one red one blue to use with my two kayaks. The high back floatation is perfect. I would recommend this vest over any others.

Bought a pair of these. One for me & one for my wife. Well made, multi-adjustable, plenty of pockets. Use them for kayaking and they seem to allow full motion of movements etc.

This is a very well-made jacket in every regard. Fits like a glove and doesn't get in the way of the seat back or extreme arm movement. The pockets are very handy. Backcountry's service was fast and trouble-free.

The Stohlquist aSEA life jacket was purchased to be used by all the people in my family -- male and female, teens and adults -- who wanted to try kayaking. The straps quickly adjust to comfortably fit all the people who tried it. The shoulder area is open and doesn't interfere with paddling. I recommend this jacket.
