Sterling BiAthlon Pro Rope - 10.1mm

The dual-pattern sheath on the Sterling BiAthlon Pro 10.1mm Rope makes the line's center point stick out like a sore thumb and saves you tons of time on climbs and descents. Quick identification of the center point ensures both ends are equal when you're making the fifth rappel in a row, and lets you know if you have enough rope to lower your partner off the 15-bolt sport route he just sent. You'll love the easy rope management provided by the dual-pattern the next time you're re-stacking line at a hanging belay. The Sterling BiAthlon Pro is also extremely easy to clip thanks to its 10.1mm diameter, and its light weight of 63g/m won't weight down your pack when you head out on another alpine approach.

Bottom Line: Make your time in the vertical world easier and safer.

Solid Rope

I have now had 4 marathon ropes of different diameter and they are bomber. They handle well and don't flatten out over time like some ropes. The 10.1 is probably the most versatile size as it is perfect for multi-pitch routes to sport climbing. Comparing this rope to others, it has great qualities in relation to its weight as it is light for its diameter(grams/meter), relatively low impact force, and the elongation is at a good %. The sheath takes abuse well and its great for climbing on course rocks like granite. I use the 10.7 marathon for a big-wall climbing rope.

5-Star Rope!

By:

This is my first rope and have used it outside on three trips so far to Kentucky. It's easy to carry and fits in my pack nicely! I love the bi-color pattern, it's easy to spot the middle. It's nice and flexible too!
