Spyder Freeryde Vicious Soft Shell Jacket - Men's

Just when you thought the crew at Spyder couldn’t get any more nuts, they went and made the corduroy Men’s Freeryde Vicious Soft Shell Jacket. This ski-worthy coat fits in just as well around town as it does on the mountain. Spyder combined techy features like water repellent, wind proof soft shell corduroy and magnetic zipper closures with retro style stuff like ribbed cuffs and hem and a tuxedo silk lining.

Bottom Line: What the hell? A corduroy soft shell? Yup, you better believe it.

What is the difference between "blackend/blackened"

What is the difference between "blackend/blackened" and "black/black"? The picture really doesn't offer a clue since they both look the same on my monitor..

blackened is more of a dark charcoal-y gray.

Casual Chiller

Perfect for the great urban outdoors in the worst weather. Windproof, sheds wet snow and very warm over a casual sweater or shirt. It doesn't have wrist or waist closures but the ribbed fit over gloves and waist is good and the pockets are warm. The satin liner feels great and makes for free movement. Hood is a great fit with or with out a beanie, tight for a helmet. I haven't used it for skiing and think it might be marginal. Probably OK at the resort but not backcountry. This is the perfect foul weather urban jacket when you need a break from your mountain gear.
