Spyder Freeryde Blackcomb Down Jacket - Men's

The Spyder Men’s Freeryde Blackcomb Down Jacket can hang with both Whitler’s epic riding and its legendary night life. The Blackcomb’s 700-fill goose down insulation keeps you warm while you stand in the gondy line or outside bar waiting to get in. The full time hood has removable faux fur so you can switch up you look after lifts stop spinning. Ventilation zippers come in handy when hiking the pipe or standing in a sweaty bar with way too many dudes.

Bottom Line: Stay warm from first chair to last call.

Plain design with style

I like this jacket because it comes off simple, but has style. The buttons down the front are unique, look real cool, and functional. The jacket itself has a nice slimmer/taller fit and removable fur. I like this jacket with a decent layer on cold days, and coat with a first layer on the normal temp days. Get it!!

great resort jacket

By:
June 2, 2009

This is my cold weather jacket if I'm riding the lift at resorts. I'm a cyclist all summer, so I have very little body mass to keep me warm. I live in Summit Co. so it gets very cold and windy at times. This jacket with an ice breaker base and a 100 weight fleece has never let me feel cold.

I was worried about ripping this jacket (or any puffy) while in the trees. I spend 80% of my time in the trees while riding the lifts. The jacket has survived many scrapes and a few full on crashes into trees with some marks, but no rips or even small holes in the fabric. Much tougher than i expected.

The great thing about this jacket is it's really heavy, but I wouldn't ever dream of taking it to hike/skin. I would overheat very quickly, and it weighs too much. I took it on some slack country around the Basin and Tucker, and I blow up there, can't imagine a full on b.c. with it, but thats not what I got it for.

The color is also great. I got the citron. It is between neon yellow. Not for everybody, but the guys i go out with all have very bright jackets. If we get split up, its easy to find each other. Friends can track us down very easily if we say which lift we will be riding.

You'll get the fastest and most accurate answer if you jump on the "live chat" and ask them. They'll need to know your post code etc. to give you a fairly descent shipping quote.

Great jacket

Feels very warm. A lot of pockets; about 7 outside pockets, and three inside pockets, including one for a small mp3 player. The faux fur came off right away; the jacket looks fine without it.

Not exactly what I was looking for

By:
November 10, 2008

Wanted a jacket that was stylish and warm. IE, I live in Park City and wanted something "cool" to wear out for say Sundance. This jacket just looks a little too "wild". The furry collar not my taste. Velcro at wrists versus nice ribbed cuffs a negative for me. Too bulky. Looks closer to something for an artic expedition than a go out at night in the cold jacket. Nice quality, etc, but not what I was looking for
