Smith Toaster Replacement Lenses

By:

I ordered the Smith Toaster replacement lenses for my boyfriend for Christmas. I ordered them on a Monday and received them on a Wednesday. I was very impressed on how quickly I received them. My boyfriend loves his new replacement lenses, too.

Slider's lenses

By:
March 18, 2004

The lens are great, the polarization makes such a difference. Doubt I could go back to "plain old regular" lens. Thanks BackcountryStore.com for carrying them, and getting them to me so quickly.

smith toaster replacement lenses

I guess overall they're alright. The polarization works and the tint is great. They just don't quite fit right. They always snap out. And if you set them down, the lenses slide out too. I don't think I'll replace the lenses again. I'd rather just have new glasses.

Smith Polarized - NOT pilot friendly

By:
December 21, 2004

I'm a pilot, and I purchased these as a high-tech replacement for the standard lens set that came with my SL-1s. My hope was that they would allow me to see through the sun glare on my instrument panel. They did not. They also caused the windscreen to appear purple and spotted (possibly caused by heating elements in the multi-pane glass found in large jet windshields)I sent them back.

Replacement Lenses

I received the Smith replacement lenses at almost the speed of light. Just in time to use them on my vacation in Maui.
The polarized lens were well worth the additional cash. You could see everything in the ocean! Awesome!

replacement lenses for my Smith Sliders

By:
June 20, 2006

I was happy to find replacement lenses for a model of Smith sunglasses I purchased way back in 2000. I love the Sliders, they have served me well, and the polarized lenses are excellent at reducing glare off the water's surface. It really makes a difference, living by and working on the water. I don't like interchanging the lenses, though, as that's when I find scratching occurs, albeit just along the edges where the lenses fit into the frame. Seems somewhat unavoidable.
