Go undercover in the Smith Serpico Sunglasses. These bold metal-framed aviators hide your true identity, unless you really are a renegade cop on a mission. Smith adds their TLT technology to the lenses, covering your eyes with 100% UV protection and distortion-free optical clarity. If you have to go incognito for a few days, there's no better way than with the Serpico.
These shades are really nice for all day, every day. The color of the lens (i have the gold/brown ones) is really good in the harsh sun of the Salt Lake Desert and the light frame can be worn all day. My only caution is to be very careful putting them in a bag or pack because the metal frame is pretty fragile and can bend into funny shapes which are not the same as head shaped. The loose fit is also not ideal for super active use, but riding around town, or driving, or beachin, they're great.
These are basically the perfect sunglasses. They have classic aviator style, offer excellent light protection (the toric lenses are fantastic), and have polarized options available. One word of caution though: if you keep these glasses in the Smith lenscloth bag they come in, or loose, or with one arm over the collar of your shirt, the ends of the earpieces will scratch little tracts in the back of those huge gorgeous lenses and you will have a fuzzy spot in your vision. I suggest putting some kind of foam guard on the tips (the 80s style necklace thingee might work), or you might be able to eliminate the problem by packing the hinges, but be aware of the issue before buying these otherwise incredible sunglasses.
I got these sun glasses about a year ago. I have brought them all over the world because I do travel quite a bit. The only negative about these sun glasses is that they are so nice, everybody seems to love to try them on. I unfortunately lost my sun glasses recently and I did look around to buy another pair perhaps from another brand i.e. ray ban etc. but the only thing I found were sun glasses that were almost double the price if not more, weren't as durable, didn't have the same sleek look the Smith had and I have decided to buy these sun glasses once more. The only difference is that this time I bought it in a different color. I first started out with the Gold and brown lenses and I just ordered the gunmetal ones.
If you want to wear 'em, do it. These would look great on a woman.-------My ex-girlfriend stole my pair of these, and, I hate to say it, but she looked damn good in them.
I have a big fat head and it is hard to find a pair of avitors that look good but these not only fit my face but the also look reasonalble, two thumbs up.
I love love love these! I used to go through a pair of $300.00 every few months. Somehow I've stumbled upon these: affordable, great fit, comfy, and a GREAT headband! I've been wearing them non-stop for a year and will continue to do so!
I LOVE these sunglasses!! I have a small face, so I normally have a disastrous time finding sunglasses that don't look ridiculous on me. And finding the perfect pair of aviators is even harder, b/c if you don't get the right pair, you look silly. The first pair I bought were the spy wilshire sunglasses - the lenses were too big for me. These are perfect for my small face - the lenses are the perfect size and shape, and the slight wrap makes them look updated from the 1980s, and even better at protecting your eyes. I bought the gold/polarized brown lens and they look SO HOT with a little sun dress, a couple pieces of small jewelry and flip flops - like you just threw something on in the morning, but totally put-together. And they are not "girly" in any way - I believe they are a unisex style. These are my second pair of smith sunglasses (I also highly recommend the shoreline!) and I think I may be a life-long customer. I only wish they came with a hard case.
Pair these with your favorite bandanna and get ready to dominate the softball scene. You'll watch as the opposing fielders become intimidated by your tough-guy visage and beer breath, but they won't be able to see through your darkened Gunmetal/Gray Serpicos as you stare down the slow kid in right field. Base hit here we come! Oh, if a lens pops out when you're sliding in to second (cuz your face got crushed at Metal Gods a few nights ago) you'll have no problem popping your totally unscratched piece back in. These glasses will take a beating for sure. I guess I should mention the killer clarity and UV protection that these shades offer when you're hiking a big couloir, but c'mon, that isn't why you want these.
I got these on Steep and Cheap as an impromptu purchase. I am usually not a fan of aviators, but these wrap around the face for a secure fit. They never feel like they are going to fall off. Another great product from Smith.
