Smith PIVLock V90 Sunglasses
Smith revolutionized sunglasses when they introduced the interchangeable lens, and now they’ve done it again by creating the PIVLock V90 Sunglasses. This rimless, ultralight pair of sunglasses features removable hinging temple arms and a removable bridge piece that quickly snap on and off to accommodate one of the three included lenses when lighting conditions change. The one-piece carbonic TLT lenses feature a sweat-seal hydrocoating to resist moisture and oils, and the hydrophilic nose and temple pads provide a secure fit in any conditions.
Bottom Line: Not all interchangeables are created equal.

Lightweight, good visibility, but strange optics

I read a review of these in Bicycling magazine and they seemed like exactly what I was looking for. I went to my local bike shop and tried them on and was so excited to get them.
But the first day I wore them, I rode home in the dark with the clear lenses on and had a hard time seeing. I finally realized I was seeing double. When I got home, I examined all the lenses very carefully and they all exhibited the same behavior, but it was less noticeable in the darker lenses.
I took them back and got a refund.

I absolutely love how lightweight and comfortable these glasses are. And, changing the lenses couldn't be easier. It comes with 3 lenses and I've now used all three in different conditions and love having the variety at my disposal. My only gripe is that the arms interfere with my Giro Zen bike helmet, thus causing them to do an Arthur Fonzarelli move where the wheelie off the top of my nose. Trail running, hiking and everything else they are fine. Other than that the excellent coverage and light weight is superb.

These are extremely comfortable and offer excellent coverage. I'm a contact lense wearer and bike rider and these are perfect for keeping the wind from drying out my lenses whilst riding, especially at speed.
The small/medium frame is perfect for women or men with slightly narrower faces. The rubber on the arms and the nose grip hold the galsses in place very well. The lenses are easy to switch out.
The only cons are that because they are such a good fit around the eyes, they can get steamed up and you have to adjust the position every now and then. Also the hard case is really big and ungainly, and is not ideal if you want to have all lenses to hand if you are not sure of conditions when you set out.
All in all, very happy with them and would certainly recommend them.
Smith's PIVLock V90 - Awesome Riding Sunglasses

I used the Smith PIVLock v90 Sunglasses for the first time this weekend during the 24 Hours of Moab bike race and they were excellent. The PIVLocks are super light - probably the lightest shades I've worn - and the frameless design provides a great field of view as well as plenty of protection from sun and dust. The PIVLock design makes changing the lenses quick and easy. Highly recommended.
