Smith Method Sunglasses - Polarchromic - Polarized - 2006

Take a spin out on the water and ward off glare and varying light conditions with the Smith Method Photochromic Polarized Sunglasses. The polarized lenses reduce glare from the water and photochromic properties allow these lenses to change when the brightness of the day changes—when it gets lighter, they get darker, when it gets darker, these lenses get lighter. The TR90 Grilamid Frames are durable enough to withstand all your adventures, and TLT Carbonic Lenses ensure you see distortion-free.

Bottom Line: Make the Smith Photochromic Polarized Method Sunglasses your go-to shades.

Stylish Polarized Glasses

By:

These sun glasses keep the sun out so I don't get a headache while I'm hiking in the snow. I'm very happy with the Smith warranty. These glasses look great on guys and girls, and fit my medium face well.

Good all round sunglasses for fishing and climbing

By:
October 20, 2008

I wanted one pair of sun glasses for long back country trips. I fish a lot and they needed to be polarized. I also climb and do some snow and ice so dark glasses are important. Problem was dark polarized glasses are not good for fishing later in the day, they are too dark. Smith Method was a good solution. The photochromic lenses get pretty dark and they lighten way up for evening fishing.

I would not recommend these for all day in the snow, they don't get that dark. But for up to a couple hours they work fine.

I actually have the Super Methods, they are similar a little larger, better at keeping wind out of your eyes but functionally not much different.

Great style, awesome lenses...

These are my second pair of Smith Methods. I accidentally stepped on my first pair while pitching a tent in the dark. Smith Methods fit my face snug without being uncomfortable. I wore them while climbing in Yosemite and I never worried about them falling off. The polarized lenses are darker than most photochromic lenses which is good for summer adventures and the polarization works very well! I recommend them if they fit you!

Great "Compromise" Sunglasses

By: Backcountry.com Employee

I've been stuck on Smith Slider Sunglasses for years now, and finally decided to buy something a bit larger and more "fashionable". I was surprised how much I liked the Method Sunglasses. Unlike some other glasses I tried on, these don't slip or slide on your head and have a great grip. The lenses do a great job of blocking the sun, while giving you a brightened view. I also love the way they look - they're not too big and definitely not too small. While I still like my Sliders better for exercising, these are great for everything else.
