Smith Heiress Goggle

The new Smith Heiress Goggle must have had a wealthy relative kick the bucket recently, because it brings a massive fortune of style and performance to your ski and board experience. The spherical Carbonic-X polycarbonate lens is shatter, scratch, and fog resistant like none other, and receives further aid from Smith's patented Regulator adjustable ventilation. Dual-layer foam with a fleece face lining keeps you smiling even in bitter peak winds, and a multitude of design, color, and lens tint options let you pick the perfect pair.

Bottom Line: Paris is poor in comparison.

No more huge goggles

By: Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete
January 13, 2009

Ladies if you have a small face or small nose, the heiress is the perfect goggle. I have a few different Smith helmets that these goggles fit great with and finally don't have my goggles pushing down on my nose all day. Practical and cute, this women-specific design works well with a hat or a helmet!

yes the shape will fit fit fine its the length of the strap that is an issue, smith found an iteresting way to correct this problem and make money at the same time, its called a helmet helper and itv extends the strap to be big enough to fit a helmet, you can google it cuz they dont have the helmet helper here

good for women with a smaller face

By: Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete
April 2, 2009

this is the perfect goggle for women that have had a hard time finding a goggle that fits their face. Often times goggs are just flat out too big for women ! This is a great alternative for that female! Plus they retain the integrity of high-performance smith goggles. . .

If I do alot of night snowboarding what is a good color lense?

If I do alot of night snowboarding what is a good color lense? The ones I have appear very dark which are supose to be good during the day to block the sun but very difficult for night skiing. I need a pair that can easily make things visible during the night. Should I just go for clear?

Clear is hands-down the best lens color for night skiing. A close second would be yellow or rose color.Or sensor mirror.

Bad fit with smith helmet

By:
December 29, 2008

I bought these not too long ago as i was also purchasing a smith helmet. Pretty disappointed to find that the strap was not long enough to accommodate a helmet without uncomfortable tightness. I was under the impression that both being smith I would get a better all round fit. Maybe they were designed more for a pretty beanie.. Apart from that they're pretty sweet.

Yes it should work fine, as it is helmet compatable. If for some reason it doesn't work as well as you would like, the Backcountry.com return policy will take care of you for sure.

Smith Goggles

By:
December 3, 2008

Being an Oakley die-hard, these are my first Smith goggles! So far, so good. I bought them after trying on a friend's pair (not this style) and I really like them. I bought the Lavender Lily Pond with the Sensor Mirror, and I have to say its a pretty good tint for almost any condition (except super bright days), and I haven't run into any issues that I usually have with tinted goggles (not being able to see the moguls clearly).

This goggle you're looking at would be a great way to go for this time of year in Tennessee. Not too dark but definitely not clear.

I got these goggles with the sensor mirror lens. They really do work great in flat light conditions...there's nothing worse than not being able to see that bump in front of you...whoops. They have really cute color/pattern options too!

pure 24k gold budThese are one of Smith's top of the line goggles with all the nice features, including tapered lenses so the view isn't distorted, thermal lens barriers with a pore for improved ventilation and anti-fogging between the lenses, adjustable venting for the interior lens face, and Smith's top of the line Carbonic-X lenses (optically precise, impact resistant, scratch and abrasion resistant, hydrophobic coating to reduce smudging). The Limited Edition frames are an extra $20.

Smith Heiress Goggles

By: Backcountry.com Employee
November 24, 2008

I'm a huge fan of Smith goggles, especially the spherical series. They've got great optics and great looks. The Heiress is a nice frame for the ladies and those with somewhat smaller faces, and comes in some really fun designs. The Heiress goggle is a bit narrow with my Smith Intrigue helmet, and it makes me wish that the goggles were slightly wider as there's a bit of a gap between the end of the goggles and the front sides of the helmet. They would be perfect for my face with a hat though, and they still look great with the helmet. The Phenom is a better fit with my helmet width-wise, but I think the Heiress fits better along the top. I have a few pairs of Smith goggles with different lenses, so I'm set for all different light conditions: Platinum Mirror for sunny days, Sensor Mirror is excellent for storm days, and Ignitor Mirror for the in-between, partly cloudy days and in and out of morning shade. It's also pretty easy to switch lenses using the same frame. For goggles that are really easy to switch, check out the I/O which comes with two lenses.
