Smith Factor Interchangeable Sunglasses - Polarized
See your way to the front of the pack with the Smith Factor Polarized Sunglasses. A rimless frame moves you forward with maximum peripheral vision and an unobstructed view of what is around you. The Factor Sunglasses comes equipped with a polarized lens to eliminate glare for clear vision over pavement, snow, or water. Three interchangeable lenses come with the Smith Factor Sunglasses to ensure that you always have the best optics for your activity. *See sizing chart for lens information.
These glasses are evidently designed for a small to medium size face. They are lightweight and do not slip during exercise. In short, they are comfortable and fit securely. On the other hand, the interchangeable lenses do not necessarily sit securely in the frame (on each of the three included sets, one lens is slightly loose) and, more importantly, the optics are slightly distorted, at least compared to Rudy Project polycarbonate lenses and Nikon glass. Conclusion: a good but not great sunglass
I got these to replace another pair of Smith sliders that I lost in the river... They are great. the only thing I found disconcerting is that right after I got them, it appeared that a thin film on the arms started to rub off at the end. Other than that, they are perfect! Oh, I am really tough on my gear, and have nicked my polarized lenses a few times already, so maybe they could be a bit tougher (or I could be more careful).
Write your answer here...Hi efk; First, check with Backcountry and see what they can do. I asked my neighbor, and he said to check a magazine or website named Camping World,Campmor,or CampAlot. He couldn't remember exactly. They may have Smith.
These glasses rock. They look good, they wrap around to keep the sun out of every corner of my eyes, and I love the interchangeable lenses. However, I have found that the nose pads leave serious, painful dents on the bridge of my nose; I've never had a pair of shades that's done that before. I'm gonna keep wearing them and keep loving them, but the nose pads do put a serious damper on the comfort level of these glasses.
I'm finding the megol nose pads to be slightly irritating to my eyes, despite that they are "non-allergenic" hah! I don't believe that. maybe you're reacting to the pads. . .
Great quality sunglasses with several interchangeable lenses. My wife liked them so much that they are now hers! They arrived sooner than anticipated and your prices are the cheapest I've found.
I want to order the yellow and clear lenses as 2 of my three, in fact I would like to have 2 yellow and 1 clear. Can you do this for me!? I have several of the polarized colors.....Thank you
You could just go and buy some replacement lenses without buying a second pair glasses all together. If you want to buy these though, scroll to the top of the page and click the "chat now" button in the upper right corner and relay this question to the person you chat with.
I got these off this site for cheap and they were the best deal I've gotten on there since I started shopping. Very good shades, light weight, not a complaint about them. I just wish I hadn't stepped on them while playing volleyball at a backyard BBQ, I'm gonna have to pay more for replacement lenses than I paid for the shades.
I had tried these glasses on at a retail store but didn't want to pay the store's price. I found an excellent deal through backcountry.com's outlet and am thrilled with them. They have four different lenses which are very easy to change out and they look great. I have not had the problem of the uncomfortable nose pads that another buyer complained about - it likely just depends on each individual face. I find them to be very comfortable - in fact, I can easily forget that I'm wearing them. They even come with a sturdy case that has a removable insert that keeps the spare lenses organized and protected.
Amazing lightweight sunglasses for outdoor athletic activities. Perfect for women or smaller-faced men. So lightweight you forget you're wearing them. A must have for trail running!
I have to wear some kind of glasses when mountain biking or jogging because any kind of breeze really irritates my contacts. I had seen other women wearing these mountain biking and thought they looked really cool, so i bought a pair. They are excellent! They look hot and it's easy to just switch the lenses depending on the sun or shade situation.
This is a great fit for me. I have a medium to large head and they fit great. They are light and the interchangeable lenses are too cool. I have some other Smiths and they have the True Color Grey polarized lenses(the grey lenses offered on some of these glasses). I like the grey for the unaltered world view. I tried the brown lenses with these glasses and they really sharpen things up. They filter out blue light and while they do alter they way things look they help to show contrast and sharpen up vision. Depending upon your activity you should pick the lens for you but you really can't go wrong with these sunglasses.
