All superheroes have amazing visual capabilities—and if you're ready to kick your ski or boarding skills up a notch, the Smith Anthem Goggle just could be your magic feather, so to speak. Anatomically engineered for a woman's facial features and face size, the Anthem Goggle rests softly on your face and blocks cold air and moisture. And Smith's Vaporator lens technology isn't just a cool-sounding term—it means that built-in airflow regulation keeps your lenses incredibly fog-free. Spherical Carbonic-X lenses make your vision so clear, you ski like Batman. Or like he would, if he skied, which maybe he does.
These goggles are great!! Like everyone else says, the goggles are great for small faces- they don't overpower nor do they slide down to my mouth. The lenses rock- even on flat light and pouring snow days. A definite YES.
LOVE these goggles. This is the main goggle I use each season, just interchanging lenses and styles for necessity and fun, respectively. I have a smaller head and these goggle fit my face perfectly. The fit is excellent for a woman and much more feminine and sleek then other brands. The style is slimming and less bulky so that you can focus on your skiing and not on your goggles. I've rarely had issues with these goggles fogging, and the lenses are high performance from flat light to bright sunny days. They are easy, breezy and beautiful. Excellent goggle for women who like to rip but also like to have a good fit.
OK, finnaly got an answer for ya...these block 100 percent of uva/uvb/uvc light! and you have quite a few choice for lense tints, click on "size chart" right under the product selector for a very nice and detailed chart on lense tints and the conditions they are ideal for
My wife has a Smith Intrigue Helmet and I purchased both the Anthems and the Scott Aura for her to see which would fit better. Her previous goggles were a pair of Spy goggles that left a big gap between the goggles and the helmet. The Scott Aura also left a gap, but the Anthems fit super snug and should keep out the cold. Additionally, my wife is Asian, so she always has trouble with the fit of sunglasses and goggles made for people with larger noses, but these fit great. I also own the Variant Brim Helmet and wear that with the Phenom Goggles and love that combo too. Good Job Smith!
Though marketed towards women, when you boil it down the Anthem is just a small-fit goggle. Anyone - guy or gal - with smaller facial features can take advantage of this great google. After trying a myriad of different brands and styles, it wasn't until I put on a pair of Anthems - not realizing they were 'women's' goggles - lo and behold they fit like magic with my helmet. The moral here: go with what works best for YOU, not what the packaging says. Also, after experimenting with a large variety of goggle/lens combinations, I can say that Smith's Sensor Mirror is THE BEST lens on the market for overcast/flat light conditions.
Total agreement. I'm a guy with a smallish face, and these were the only goggles I could find that don't crush the bridge of my nose when I wear a helmet. Mine are the grey frame with the black strap, and you'd never know they're a "women's" goggle.
Got these because my girlfriend has a smaller face and they seemed to have a nice shape tailored for that. Had them out one day, she said they fit comfortably, nice clear vision, sealed that terrible goggle-helmet gap well, and with the ignitor lens, had a cool, reflective look. The strap was barely big enough for a helmet but does fit.
I ordered another brand of goggle for my GF but they weren't available any more. I worked with a lady at BC and she recommended these for my GF. She loves them. Fit her helmet great and stayed clear all day while I was cursing at and throwing my Anons!
It depends. It has a 34% VLT, so it can be used at night if the moon is bright and there isnt too much to look out for. The best thing to do for night riding is just get a pair of clear lenses, they are $20 on smith's website.
I've used these for about a year and have been really happy with them. The fit is awesome and they look pretty sleek. I have the platinum mirror and the sensor mirror lens, which pretty much covers the different light conditions, although an all round lenses would be nice when conditions change. I've only had them fog on me once when it was practically raining and everything I had was just dripping wet.
I've got 2 pairs of these and love them. I bought 2 pair even though you can change the lenses (I was afraid I'd mess up the lenses). I was even able to wear my glasses under these goggles, but they're NOT eyeglass compatible. They NEVER fog unless you stick them on your head for a while. My glasses fogged, but NOT my lenses. My vision isn't distorted and they're pretty sturdy. Buy them!
Designed for narrow faces, the Anthem is a comfortable all around goggle. The frame is low profile and doesn't have the "buggy" look. Lenses are easy to change out of the frame and they fit under a variety of helmets. I usually have the fired mirror lens in for sunny days. Zero distortion and no fogging. Smith's warranty program is rad.
I bought the Smith Anthem with the R36 lens. It is very comfortable to wear and offers good visibility on cloudy and snowy days. For full bluebird days, I went back to regular sun glasses, as this lens was not dark enough for me. It just went on sale....too bad I missed the discounted price!!!
i just got a pair of these w ignitor mirror lens and can't wait to take them out because its obvious how they brighten dim light. the other great thing is the fit..these are truly great for smaller faces. even with helmet they hug my temples and i do not doubt they will live up to all expectations in the field...when i know for sure these will get 5 stars....so iv'e been riding in these since start of the ski season and updated to 5 stars because they are awesome on the hill! great clarity, no fog issues, really comfy. smith is top notch! in case you didn't already know : )
These goggles are great. I had another pair of these ones for 4 years before I got my new ones this year. The southbeach color is off the hook and look sick with my variant brim helmet. The combo of smith helmet and smith goggles is the way to go. The ventilation of the two really works great and keeps my goggles from fogging up. Having a couple of different lenses to switch out for different conditions really makes skiing awesome. I give these goggles 2 thumbs up!
