Protect your child's feet and keep them happy with the SmartWool Kid's Snow Fall Socks. Light cushioning around the shin and foot protects small feet from constrictive winter boots. The Snow Fall Socks feature SmartWool's Smart Fit System, which combines an elastic arch and ankle brace with an instep flex zone for unparalleled fit, comfort, and support. Flat-loop toe seams reduce hot spots around small toes, and the over-the-calf height of this sock ensures it doesn't bunch up inside little boots. The unique blend of wool, nylon, and spandex yields an elastic sock that naturally staves off sweat and odor and holds its shape for seasons to come.
Bottom Line: Fun winter boots deserve fun winter socks. Have your kiddo try the SmartWool Snow Fall Socks.
BJ - these socks will do the trick. My entire wardrobe of socks consists mostly of SmartWool socks, and I stand by their products. These socks will be good enough to fight the cold of the northeast :)
I too have very small feet a 5.5 in women's and these socks fit me great in the kids L and are just as warm as adult socks from smartwool. A note on sizing, the sizing chart is in shoe sizes and is up to date to answer any questions here.
Always go bigger. If her feet are not quite tight in those boots, the extra cushion from the smartwool will help. These socks compress really well too. I've had Columbia brand socks that were about the same, but they bunched up in my boots. My friend who goes 100plus days always buys 3pairs of Smartwool at the start of the season.
I love Smartwool. they are not itchy and they really keep you warm. My only complaint is that they do wear out pretty quickly for such an expensive sock.
ok, What was answered above, not that I'm smarted than the average bear, but I'm fairly sure those are the 'sock sizes' not equivalent 'shoe sizes' which is not the same and what I tried to get an answer to two nights ago. Why the shoe/sock industry didn't get together on this...but anyway my son a youth (not child) wears a 3 and socks in 9-11, I found a unopened package. The next smaller I think for instance he was wearing from sizes 10, 11 thru 12 becuase socks stretch if I remember correctly
Having size 5 feet has been frustrating when it comes to finding socks! These sized "Girls - large" Smart Wool socks fit perfectly! No more sock heels sticking out over the back of my shoe! They are adult quality too. And I am glad I could get them in black, so I don't have to wear "little girl" pink socks!
These socks are great, they wash well and are warm! I'm a small female so I was able to get the kids L and they are the perfect size. Smartwool makes great socks.
You question made me curious if I was washing mine correctly, sure enough I've been doing it exactly as recommended...Directly from the smartwool website:For socks you can machine wash using cool or warm water and tumble dry low. Turn inside out, do not use bleach, do not iron and do not dry clean. We do not recommend using fabric softener because it coats the wool fibers reducing their ability to breathe with your body. Bottom Line = Normal Care
These socks are way warm. I wear them in the winter with boots or winter clogs. I'm a small female so I got the kids L size to save some money and they are just as good as the adult Smartwool socks. Excellent socks!
