SmartWool NTS Microweight Long Underwear Bottom - Women's

Wear the SmartWool Women's Microweight Bottom for cool- or warm-weather aerobic activities or as a next-to-skin base layer. SmartWool's porous natural fibers move moisture while it is still in vapor form before it has a chance to condense on your skin; you stay drier and more comfortable throughout your entire workout. By comparison, synthetics transport moisture after it condenses, which means you must visibly sweat before any moisture management begins. SmartWool fiber is also highly adaptable to a broad range of conditions; it keeps you warm in winter and cool in spring. This naturally anti-microbial pant features a covered elastic waistband, chafe-reducing flatlock seams, and a body-hugging fit.

Bottom Line: It might be Microweight, but it's big on performance.

Smartwool Microweight long underwear bottom

I deliberately ordered these really light weight ones to wear indoors. They are really thin too, so I can wear them under dress pants. We keep our house temperature really cool so I wear these indoors on really cold days. Also, if I do have to go outside to run a quick errand, these keep my knees and legs from getting too cold. They would not be warm enough to wear outdoors on very cold (zero or colder) days.

I love SmartWool long underwear, but these ripped. I was just pulling them on. I think micro-weight is too thin

Comfy but not that warm

By:

I live in Chicago and today was my first day wearing these. The windshield is below zero and it was about 12 degrees outside this morning when I left for work. I was warm in all areas except my knees and thighs and that was the problem I was having before I bought these. I think that they are good for warmer temperatures, but not freezing temperatures. So be aware of that before purchasing. I am thinking I am going to go with the midweight for freezing days like today. I do love this website and their online chat is very helpful. Thanks!! :)

I love how thin these are because they don't feel like thick, bulky long johns. But they also kept me warm and dry when I went skiing in New Zealand this past summer.
