SmartWool Midweight 1/4-Zip Top - Long-Sleeve - Men's

When you head out for an epic powder day, three-pitch ice climb, or a backcountry snowshoe tour, the Smartwool Men’s Midweight ¼-Zip Top is the perfect way to start your layering. Made from soft, stretchy, odor-resistant merino wool, this zip shirt wicks moisture and dries just as quickly as your synthetic baselayers in a comfy, all-natural package. Flatlock seams eliminate chafing on aerobic outings.

Bottom Line: Natural backcountry performance.

All 'round champ

I wear this a lot: hiking, running, layering, going to class, etc. I'm able to for two reasons:
1). it's a well made piece of clothing that looks good and performs well.
2). it doesn't stink after adventuring in it so I just throw it on again instead of throwing it in the laundry.

6'2" 180 and the large fits well.

I'm buying for a fit 6'3", 200lb guy that likes his shirts fitted. Is this shirt cut slim or loose? Should I get a Medium or Large?

these are pretty fitted.
That size guy is likely an XL but check his closet or measure him if you can.

Midweight 1/4 zip

I haven't sweated it up on a backcountry hike yet in this shirt, but it has proved itself in the cold weather around town. It's a great layering piece under my jackets and has proved to be quite warm. Plus it fits so well (5'11", 165 - size M) I often forget it's even there. The sleeve length is perfect and doesn't stick out of my long sleeve shirts. This has begun to prove itself to be my "go to" base layer in the winter. Pretty good for my first Smart Wool piece!
