SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Sock

Wear the SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Crew Socks when you train for your next triathlon. These merino wool socks transfer moisture away from your skin, which not only keeps your feet comfortable and dry, but also helps to prevent blisters. SmartWool beefed up these Adrenaline Socks with nylon to enhance durability. A touch of spandex provides some support for your arches and gives you a snug fit so you don't get uncomfortable wrinkles or bunching. A light layer of cushioning pads your dogs so you can run and bike for the long haul and double ribbing around the cuff prevents these socks from sliding down.

Bottom Line: Run or bike comfortably in your SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Crew Socks.

Good stuff

Very well fitting with the way the elastic is constructed in (I have square, wide feet). Lightweight, good for running, biking or general daily wear. Personally, they do not have enough cushion for hiking, for that I like the Adrenalin Light. Great socks.

great trail running/mtn biking sock

By:
September 25, 2008

I've been using these for running/mtn biking for about a year now- they do a great job of keeping your feet feeling dry, and they don't itch (I thought they might b/c they are wool). They do get kind of banged-up if you don't wash them inside out, but it's not a big deal.

Ideal summer trail running socks

By:
June 10, 2009

Great socks. Light and comfy and they keep your feet feeling dry. Even when they get soaked in creek crossings your feet stay planted in the shoes. These are ideal summer socks for trail running.

Great stuff

I managed to get a few of these cheap, and I'm not disappointed. They feel great, and they're not overly tight (based on the recommended sizing chart). I wore a pair for about a week, and they smell great! I was worried that a shorter sock like this would be problematic, but I prefer these to normal socks for casual use now.

Smartwool Ultra Light

I work outdoors in the summer and it can get very hot. I stand and walk 12-14 hours a day. I will only use these socks. They make such a difference in comfort level. My feet stay dry and cool. These are the best.

Great Wicking

By:
April 24, 2008

I use these for hiking and trail running and they work great as sometimes my Gore-Tex shoes can become a little hot, these work well to get the sweat off of my feet. I do recommend that someone with a shoe size of 12 to go with XL instead of L.

Worked gr8 at work!I'm on my feet 12 hours at work and my feet feel good after the shift. Not to sweaty........I do take the shoes off after a while tho. Look good....like the short height and colour. Large works gr8 for a size 11 shoe!

Totally Boss

By:

These socks are great. Short enough to run and bike in comfortably, and tall enough to protect the back of your ankle. It's disappointing to wear cotton socks after wearing Smartwool. Make sure you get the right size; they shrink slightly.

Good not Great

By:
April 14, 2009

I purchased these socks for a two week trip to Europe. I got the these as they were more lightweight then other walking socks with good support and some cushion. Perhaps i should have just looked at a true walking sock as after about an hour my feet started to sweat and these socks did not wick away like I was expecting. This could also be due to my shoes and a number of other factors but I think that these socks are very comfortable and offer good support they just weren't ideal for my needs.

SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Sock Review

By: Backcountry.com Employee
May 6, 2009

The SmartWool Adrenaline Ultra Light Mini Socks are a little lighter than the SmartWool Adrenaline Light Mini Socks (Item #SWL0009). These socks don't have as much cushioning, but they make a great sock for those hot days hiking and running on the red rock trails in southern Utah. They fit true to size, are very comfortable, and they also make a great casual sock. They wick well, and will dry up within minutes of a river crossing. They are very durable, and I haven't seen a sign of wear or tear yet.

I am very satisfied with these socks, and would highly recommend them.
