Simple GT Jane Shoe - Women's

As part of Simple's Green Toe collection, the Women's GT Jane Shoes do their part to be sweet to the big ol' world. Slip your feet into these Mary Janes, and you'll wonder why other companies need to shred the environment when constructing their shoes. The natural crepe rubber midsoles give you ample padding and support, bamboo linings don't hold odor, and recycled car tire outsoles grip like … well … tires for your feet. The people at Simple constructed the GT Jane Shoes using water-based cements and 100% post-consumer paper pulp foot forms, and they minimized packaging to reduce waste. *Note: these sandals contain latex.

Bottom Line: Get militant about being kind to the environment by wearing the Simple GT Jane Shoes.

Cute recycled Shoes

SOOOOO cute! Very Comfortable. The elastic under the button on the second time I wore them. Plan on repairing them. They are my new favorite shoe.

like slippers

So I debated for a while whether to get these b/c so many people had problems with the button coming off but i decided to ignore that and try these shoes knowing that backcountry has an awesome warranty if I did have problems. I got the cub in a 7.5 which is exactly what my foot size is. I almost exchanged for a 7 because they felt loose when I first tried them. The button is connected with elastic so it gives while walking but my heel never comes out and I am really glad I stuck with the 7.5 because my foot is really comfy in these. The only downside is there is not tons of padding and cushion so when walking a lot I can feel the ground but they are still comfortable regardless. I have not had any problems so far and get tons of compliments on these shoes.

do they stretch at all? The 7's are too small and the 7 1/2's

do they stretch at all? The 7's are too small and the 7 1/2's are a little big. I didn't know if I should try to get a smaller size hoping they would stretch or stick to the larger size.

these are great shoes but if you have high arches like me, they offer little or no support. I still like them though

For wide feet only

By:
March 16, 2009

Oh how I wished these shoes weren't so wide! They are so cute and I just adored how they are made out of recycled material. This shoe is only for wide-set feet...very wide set feet. I hope they come out with ones for narrower feet!

These shoes are so cute and so comfortable. The first day I wore these I received a lot of comments. They are a little pricey, but they are so worth it. Buy them!

Not for the narrow foot

By:
May 19, 2008

Loved the look of the shoe. Did not love the fit. I have a narrow, large foot. The problem is that when the shoe is made bigger, it is also made wider. This does not work for me. The shoe was not comfortable at all. Had to return. Bummer.

comfy!

By:
September 16, 2008

i have been wearing these babies every day to work. they are like slippers. the cushioning is lovely, they are as eco friendly as anything, and the colour is lush. the only issue i have is that the make is SO wide. another review stated this, so i went in with my eyes open. but still worth it.

I fell in love with these shoes when I saw them, and they felt so comfy as soon as I put them on. I have wide feet, and these fit me to a tee. Will have to get another pair!
