Sigg Lifestyle 0.6L Bottle - Screw Top

Unlike plastic bottles that retain and combine the tastes of your last three drink flavors, the aluminum Sigg Lifestyle 0.6L Screw Top Bottle combats taste-retention and residue buildup. The Lifestyle Bottle's interior eco-lining is leach-proof and BPA-free. Sigg extruded this screw-top bottle from a single piece of aluminum so it's rugged and crack-resistant, though it will ding a bit if dropped (dents will not affect the interior lining).

Bottom Line: Leave leachy plastic behind.

Great little bottle

By:
July 14, 2009

It's a no non-sense bottle and i works. It's extremely easy to drink out of while driving and walking or biking, it keeps stuff cool for alot longer than other bottles

great bottle

By:

This was a gift for my mother. She loves it. She says that it is easy to drink out of and that the water she drinks out of it tastes like water - not chemicals. The edelweiss pattern is pretty.

do all of these bottles come with screw tops or do some come with sport tops as the pictures show?

I'm fairly sure that the ones that show a Sport Top, come with the Sport Top, and ones showing the normal Screw Tops, come with the Screw Top. Mine showed screw top and that's what I received.

Awesome bottles, and Backcountry was also amazing

By:
June 19, 2008

I ordered about 10 of these 0.6L Sigg water canisters recently, and am extremely happy with them. I ordered some with the sport cap, and some with the Screw Top. I prefer the screw top ones for my purposes (around the house or office, mostly), and as a result, use the sport caps by just screwing them off anyway. I will order all futre with screw caps for me personally.

All my bottles came in perfect condition, and came very quickly. I ordered a few other bottles from a few other retailers, and one came with 1 out of 3 bottles being badly dented, and the other came fine, but a day or two later than the backcountry order. When I need more bottles in the future, backcountry.com will definitely be the place I turn to. Outstanding service, easy to contact, display their physical address, etc. It's not just someone running a drop ship operation out of their house, which is nice.

To sum up, excellent bottles from an excellent online retailer!

Coming from both the company's FAQ and personal experience, you should not freeze any amount of water in this bottle. Bad things happen.SIGG recommends storing your bottle in the fridge if you want to chill it.

Pretty good...

By:
July 18, 2008

I bought this to replace my favorite Nalgene's, which are now in the dump festering with the dangerous BPA. ;-) The Sigg is a really great concept and it seems pretty good so far.
The only thing I would say is that if you're replacing a Nalgene like me, get the bigger size Sigg. This one is okay for short trips in the car or at an office where it can be refilled often but it's not nearly big enough to last more than a few hours. I'm always running out of water in this bottle so I'm either going to get another one, get a larger one, or go back to Nalgene and use their BPA free bottles.

great service/great bottle

By:
July 8, 2008

The water tastes great out of this bottle. I received my bottles as promised unlike another company on Amazon that was a nightmare to deal with.
I've gotten used to room temp water so I don't mind that it doesn't keep cold...
if you want your water to stay cold this isn't the product for you.

Nice, but prefer Kleen Kanteen

By:
March 23, 2009

I have one of these and it's just not the quality of my Kleen Kanteen, which is stainless steel, compared to the aluminum Sigg. The Siggs just look so great and have a color & pattern that appeals to everyone. I love how mine looks, but the Kleen Kanteen performs better and dents less easily. Also, I have the sports top and I HATE it, would not recommend it. Half the time that I go to twist it open it comes completely off. I wish I would have just went with the loop top now. Kleen's sports top is simpler and works better.

I like my sigg.

By:
November 26, 2008

I'm very happy with this bottle. I was very surprised by how light the bottle is. It is way cuter than the nalgene too.

Dents Easily

By:
June 16, 2008

The water tastes great, and stays cold even in very warm weather. The only downside is that this bottle dents so easily when dropped. I accidentally dropped it the first week I had it, and now there is an ugly dent in the bottom. For a bottle that is so expensive, you would think it would be more durable.

Below-average service, average bottle, high price

By:
July 7, 2008

I ordered three of these bottles, and was sent only one that I requested. The other two were substitutes and nothing like I wanted. When I tried to get the right ones, they didn't have them anymore. What a hassle. Then they sent me a 15% off coupon to appease me, which they already include in orders anyway.
This bottle is super-cute, but I wish it were a little more durable. It had a small scratch when I got it and dents easily. Water tastes great from this bottle, but since it isn't insulated, it gets warm relatively fast. However, it also cools down fast in the fridge or cooler.

I bought this for my husband in order to stop him buying the instant bottle water. He loves it and has been using it everyday. One thing I know for sure that this is a BPA free bottle and it's safe to refill it with water over and over again.

keeps it cool

By:
May 28, 2008

my wife was feeling guilty for using so many plastic Polan Spring bottles and was worried about harmful chemicals leeching into her water. I got her a water filter and 3 of the Sigg water bottles. The aluminum keeps your water cool, they are very light weight, and she has drastically reduced her impact on the environment. Plus they have a "no leech" lining. Definately get one.

these are so cute they qualify as an accessory. A much better choice than filling up the landfill with plastic bottles, and also you get to avoid those nasty chemicals in the nalgenes. on a hot day tehy keep your water really cold!

By:

Not only are these pretty, they are actually useful too! Unlike plastic bottles, they stay cool, they don't smell nasty, and they don't make you ingest nasty chemicals leaching into your drink, and best of all, you are not adding to the landfill!

Love My Sigg

By:
June 16, 2008

My first Sigg. I saw it on the Today show a while back and now I notice them everywhere. I've been drinking individual sized bottled water exclusively for years and decided to make a change. The water does taste much better. and it's fun to have a bottle that can also express your personality. I have the screw top and am still getting used to drinking from metal. I'm thinking of trying the sport top. Glad I made the purchase though!

Bottle 4 Water

By:
June 23, 2008

I bought this style of Sigg bottle because No. 7 plastic is bad for you and because I fell in love with the design. Like always, this site had the best deal! Unfortunately, I have dropped the poor thing several times and it doesn't hold up as well as those crappy No. 7 water bottles. None the less, I am happy with my purchase.

Good product

By:
June 26, 2008

For the most part, I love my Sigg. I love that it leaches 0%, the screw top is great for when I'm on the run, and it's pretty. However, it isn't insulated and my drinks seem to get warm pretty quick. Also, if I don't get the top on tight enough, it leaks. All in all, it is a great product that I would recommend to others.

My Sigg is pretty cool too

By: Backcountry.com Employee
July 14, 2008

This is like my 5th Sigg bottle. My others are the bigger ones (1 Liter I think). I needed something smaller for work and this works perfect. I can even put in my back pocket if I need to. The designs are pretty fn cool too. Mine has a dragon and a tiger in sort of a yin-yang pattern with a samurai in the background. The really cool thing about Sigg is their graphics keep changing. If you're lucky, you might find one as cool as mine. But I doubt it though.

July 17, 2008

This is my first stainless water bottle, and someone had recommended the Sigg brand to me. I've had this about a week now and love it! The cobalt blue & flower design is just gorgeous, and my water tastes crisp and stays cool - no metallic taste at all.

My Sigg

By:
July 11, 2008

I LOVE MY SIGG!!!!!! I use it everyday. I have used plastic reusable bottles for a while but still drank lots of soda. Now I want to use my Sigg more because it is so cool looking and I can put soda in it too and not use all of those disposable 20 oz bottles. Some stores will let you use your own bottle for fountain drinks!!!! Buy this bottle!!!!!!!!
