Sierra Designs Electron 3 Tent 3-Person 3-Season - 2009

Sierra Designs uses Reverse-Combi technology to give the Electron 3-Person 3-Season Tent steep walls for 47.5sq ft of living space instead of just floor space. The addition of a third brow pole increases usable space under the large front vestibule, and Sierra Designs also added double doors to let everyone in and out easier. You could put everyone’s packs and boots under one side to keep them out of the rain and still have a dry entrance through the other.

Bottom Line: Camp more comfortably.

A small window is located just above the Sierra Designs logo on the fly. There are two doors and two vestibules on this tent. The front vestibule is 18 sq ft and the rear vestibule is 11 sq ft.

They are quite similar. Poles and nyon are similar. The Electron is a bit smaller and has a few less sq ft in the vestibule and main body. However, the Electron is listed as a pound or so lighter than the Tengu.

It has an 11 square foot triangular vestibule on the other side. The vestibule on the side you see in the picture is the larger, 18 square foot vestibule.
