Sierra Designs Cyclone Eco Jacket - Women's - 2008
Respect the environment that you love to recreate in with the Sierra Designs Women’s Cyclone Eco Jacket. This 2.5-layer shell features fully recycled polyester shell fabric with a solvent-free, waterproof breathable Drizone laminate to seal out weather on the trail. PVC-free seam tape increases the moisture barrier, and zippered underarm vents let you regulate body temperature during hill climbs or summer storms.
Bottom Line: Protect yourself from Mother Nature while lending her a hand with the Cyclone Eco.
1 - Does the hood truly fold into the collar - nothing left hanging out, no way for water to get into the hood? 2 - Is the collar below my chin (the lower the better)?
Thought that jacket was well made and I loved that it had the extra inside pockets that aren't common in womens coats. I was disappointed with the shade of red that came. I had expected crimson to be much brighter, the red had heavier blue tone. The upper portion of the jacket fit well, but I have more generous hips and backside, and the cut was too snug at the bottom for my shape.
Absolutely! This jacket features a 2.5 layer solvent-free laminate that has 10,000 mm of waterproofness and 8,000 gm/m2 breathability. All of the seams are taped with PVC free seam tape. This all adds up to a jacket that's going to keep you dry and comfortable in whatever weather Seattle throws at you!
Got the crimson colour for my girlfriend as a lightweight jacket for hiking and casual wear. She loves it and wears it all the time now. And its compressible enough that she just sticks it in the side pocket of her pack. Keeps out wind, water and all the elements and works great with a fleece underneath.
I'm very happy with the Cyclone so far just not thrilled about the color. I was hoping for a truer blue when I ordered the Biscayne. It's closer to a turquoise. Still, very pleased the performance so far. Used it as a shell over a fleece for skiing and also alone over a tee for a jog in drizzle. Stayed dry, warm and comfortable both times.
It doesn't stuff into the pocket but it does pack down very small. If you brought a shoelace, you could wad it up in your pack and tie it the same volume of stuffing it into the pocket. Jacket weight is 1.05 lbs which is pretty good considering that all the seams are taped.
