Shimano America SH-R085W Road Cycling Shoe - Women's - 2008
Let Fido keep chewing on your old commuting kicks, while you slip into a real road performer—the Shimano SH-R085W Women's Cycling Shoe. Once you start putting up some serious miles, those old, flexible, lace-up treaded shoes are undeserved punishment for your feet. With the SH-R085W, Shimano gives you a stiff nylon/glass sole power upgrade, mesh and synthetic uppers for long-distance comfort, and a precision micro buckle instep strap, all while keeping the price totally reasonable. If you are just getting serious about cycling, or you're looking forward to your first race, you'll be blown away by the difference these shoes make on your ride.
Bottom Line: Open your eyes to serious road shoe performance.
Very comfortable shoe and lots of support! I like the buckle strap - easy to use even though it doesn't look that way. Hope to keep them white, but forsee getting dirty with their use
Not exactly. SPD is a 2-bolt pattern, these shoes are meant for 3-bolt road cleats.Try these shoes:http://www.backcountry.com/store/group/100000345/Womens-Mountain-Bike-Shoes.htmlor better yet, Sidi makes my all-time favorite shoes:http://www.backcountry.com/store/SID0006/Sidi-Bullet-2-Bike-Shoe-Womens.html
I have a pair of Nike Road Biking Shoes & these babies. These are by far my favorite - the clicking mechanism allows for proper fit and comfort around my foot. I live in Florida & the light color also allows for cooler riding as the sun attracts to the dark colors.
I am looking for a shoe to wear in my spin class. Will these work on those type of bikes. They told me in class that they have spd pedals. does that sound right?
Yes usually spin bikes have SPD peddles. However see what kinds of pedals the instructor has. As I just transfered some onto some old cycling shoes and they didn't fit these bikes. But it may have been because these bikes are old. Usually shoes don't come with pedals, you then buy the spd pedals seperately that will fit your spin bike.
