Love Backcountry. They seem to cover the ground where most of us want to walk and have the gear to get us--whether we want to go light or heavy. The dry bags that I ordered were in fact too heavy but I have seen these in action and they're great, as the saying goes, bomberproof at least then. We're counting gear ounces on this trip and went with pretty lite wt everything so the items were returned! Backcountry is and will be at the top of my short list both
for gear and for customer service.

I just returned from an 8-day canoe trip in Canada and found these bags to be very good. Although a lot "lighter" than other dry-bags they really did the job. Even when I swamped my canoe in a current the bags kept my camera, extra socks, and underwear dry. Whew!!!

very light, yet strong. opaque so that you can make out silouette of items inside. roll top/buckle closue provides nice grab/hanging loop. packs down to nothing when empty.

Took to Ecuador as a summit pack liner. It rained every day, but my summit pack was so totally waterproof, I ended up leaving my dry clothes in the S2S ultra-sil down in camp so I would have dry clothes to come back to. It is so thin you can see through it, so it's easy to dig your stuff out. It also compresses your stuff to save room in your duffel. Cheap insurance for dry clothes.

I bought the 1 and 2 liter sacks. They are perfect for personal items such as medications, personal hygiene products, camera's, wallet, GPS, etc.
I am looking forward to getting an 8 liter or bigger for food, for they are perfect to clip on and off of a food line easily.

I luv these S2S roll top drysacks. They're so light, yet durable as heck! The 8 liter is the perfect size for keeping a weekend, weeklong (if you're not packing like Paris Hilton), or thru hike's haul of clothes. I didn't request it, but got an orange, which should be great for being easily found at night when using as a food hangbag. I truly don't know what else to say about this item other than it truly is a wonderful item for the go-lighter or anyone wanting to keep stuff dry! Try one, I'm sure you'll luv it.

I have done experiments with these bags to see if they are actually waterproof by dunking them filled with paper to soak up water if it leaks though. The paper comes out totally dry. On top of that they are tough and can handle many years of use. Big fan of these bags.

I use this for all my electronics when backpacking, for the weight, it works. No complaints, the 2L will fit a amazon kindle + cell phone + head lamp + extra batteries.

I have had my bag for quite some time and use it to store my SLR camera in when going anywhere. This bag is very light, compact and more durable than the thin material looks. The camera has some sharper edges however the bag has been able to withstand the abuse of many trips into the wilderness.

This is a perfect dry bag for backpacking. I carry my extra clothes in it, and they stay organized, compressed, and DRY. The fabric is thin, but it is durable and very light.

I wish I had 10 of these! I have about 4 of them now in varying sizes...and they are perhaps the most useful, functional items in my pack. It makes everything organized and DRY! My pack has been really, really wet...when my camelback bladder didn't get closed well and leaked inside my pack- all my stuff was nice and dry...IF it was in one of these bags. My OR bags didn't function quite so well.

I bought all the sizes, they work great for me. Kept water and rain out on many hikes. They also make great storage bags when you're next expecting wet weather.

If you have something that you want to keep completely dry then get one of these. I have botht the 4L and the 2L. My 40 degree down bag fits in the 2L sack, however it is a tight squeeze so I put my sleeping bag in the 4L. I put an extra pair of big wool socks, a silk sleeping bag liner, and long underwear in the 2L sack and still had a little extra room. You'll be happy you bought these on your first trip in the rain and at less then 1 oz for the 2L and 4L you won't even notice they're in your pack.

Every single pack should have these bags. I got the XL 20L and it is perfect for clothing. I have 3 of them now and put my shirts in one, shorts in another, and underwear / other clothing in the 3rd. They are water proof and slip into your backpack easy. Once you get the air out and close it up - it is super compressed, so they help with space too.

It feels good to know my clothes are dry - no matter what happens. Get these bags, accept no others, they are the top of the line.

Hey, these bags are great. My down filled sleeping bag and clothes stayed dry during the many rain storms I encountered on the JMT. The bags compress down almost as good as compression sacks. I highly recommend them.....

these sacks really do keep things dry and clean, as well as being fairly light, for what you get. I have several of them, have backpacked and canoed with them. Things stayed dry and clean, as long as you shut the bag correctly! :) The price is reasonable as well. I highly recommend them!

These sacks are really excellent, I own multiple sizes to keep my gear organized in my pack (especially useful for longer excursions), the different colors definitely help for this use. Also, being waterproof, I don't have to worry about moisture or humidity getting into my gear if it rains/snows. I have an XS that perfectly fits my backpacking electronics and backup batteries. The only thing that takes a bit of time is figuring out how to fully compress these guys while you're sealing them up. But it'll only take you about 5 min to figure out a technique that works (I compress it against my chest while rolling it shut).

Wouldn't change a thing, except my luck in having received a blue one when I would have preferred either of the other colors... oh well. I should quit complaining; this bag does the job and does it well.

This is a no-brainer! High quality, great value, very versatile. You only question should be 1 or 2 and in what sizes.

This bag is as durable as the others have noted, but I would not recommend scrapin' it on rocks. I got the 4 liter version and it can fit all the foot supplies for a short weekend trip. It does help seal the food smell out a bit and is also easy to clip on a food line to hang. At such a low cost, I'll be trying other sizes. I got my Pops one too for sailing on Lake Michigan as the bag will clip easily on the lines on his boat. Killer product here by Sea to Summit.

This bag is obviously very light. However, I am impressed by the durability and quality of the bag as well. It sure after waterproof after I put it to the test. I highly recommend this one for kayaking, backpacking or anything else where your gear staying dry is essential. And at such a small weight and bulk, this thing can go anywhere with you.
