Sea To Summit Lite Cotton Poly Liner - 2008

The Sea To Summit's Lite Cotton Poly Liner makes the inside of your sleeping bag seem more like your bed at home. And if you're traveling and don't like the thought of touching hotel sheets, you can cuddle up in this liner. The traveler-size Lite Liner comes with a place to insert your pillow. The fast-drying cotton and polyester fabric feels soft and comfortable on summer and fall nights, and after a few camping trips, it's much easier to throw the Lite Liner into the wash than to deal with cleaning your sleeping bag. This Sea To Summit liner comes in a reusable zippered pouch.

Bottom Line: Use the Sea To Summit Lite Cotton Poly Liner and avoid deciphering sleeping bag washing instructions, or touching hotel sheets, for as long as you can.

Bad design; is overpriced

This product is basically a king size cotton/poly sheet with the edges sewn together. I had expected it to be easier to enter the pocket, but the pocket is sewn completely from top to bottom. This makes entry and exit quite difficult, especially when you're using a cot. The pillow pocket is quite small and is unable to cover a regular sized pillow. Had I known more about this product I would have just continued using the folded bed sheet that I had already been using. I only paid about $12 for my bed sheet, it's 100% cotton instead of a polyester blend, and it's much easier to use because it isn't sewn shut.

Chuck it in the washing machine with your t-shirts and dry it on low heat. Easy as pie.

Very useful accessory

I've used the sleeping bag liner on trips to Africa, and Central- and South America, where I was sleeping in hotels, as well as camping. Pretreating the liner with permethrin provided more protection against insects (including bed bugs). In the third world, the standard of cleanliness of the "best" hotel may leave you happy to have brought the liner along to throw between the sheets. When camping, this helps to keep the inside of my sleeping bag clean, and is easy to wash and dry. Definitely worth the weight and room in my pack.

Works great

I've only used it for 2 days of camping but I did like the fact that it is lite weight so I didn't over heat at nite and it does pack small so it will be great for hiking and trekking.
