Scarpa Scarpa Tornado LE Alpine Touring Boot - Men's - 2007

Your alpine boots are great for tackling gnarly lines, but not when they leave eyeball-sized wounds on your heels during the hike in. Bench the blister machines and charge just as hard on the Scarpa Tornado LE Alpine Touring Boot. This boot is Scarpa's Limited Edition model from the '05 / ‘06 season and features a standard nylon liner, which cuts weight for your climbs without sacrificing control and comfort for the way down. Burly enough to handle the sickest lines you want to ski but agile enough to hike, the Tornado tours comfortably when switched into walk mode so you can enjoy the entire trip instead of suffering through the approach. The DIN-certified plastic outsoles pull double duty as a touring and in-bounds rig—the Tornado LE fits both AT and alpine bindings—making this an extremely versatile boot. Four-buckle closure and a power strap guarantee optimal fit and performance that doesn't end at the resort ropes.

Good shell, crap liner

Got mine on SAC. The shell is the same as the Tornado Pro, but it has a booster strap. The liner, however, is pathetic. I'll replace it with some Intuitions.
