Scarpa Denali TT Alpine Touring Boot - 2004

The Scarpa Denali TT Alpine Touring Boot takes the high-performance characteristics of the Denali and cranks it up a notch (or two.) The already solid Denali shell is augmented by a Dual-Density cuff that adds variable lean selection and even more rigidity. This means even more efficient energy transfer to the ski for maximum control at speed, making the Denali TT ones of the most badass AT boots on the block. Fitted with Scarpa's Easy Lock buckles and Dual-Density thermo-moldable liner, the Denali TT is like an Italian sports car: slick, fast and a real joy to be in. Aggressive experts and speed-hungry tourers will have their expectations met and blown away by the Denali TT.

Bottom Line: TT probably stands for “Totally Tough.”

First Rate AT Boot

By:
April 5, 2006

This is my first foray into AT boots, and thus far I am quite pleased with the Denali TT. Not as stiff as an alpine boot, but not expected to be either given the dual purpose the boot is designed for. Tons lighter and easier on/off than traditional alpine boot. Have not toured in the boot yet so cannot report on the up, but on the down the boot has no problem driving the mid-fat ski I am on mounted with Fritschi freerides.

Great comfort and performance

By:
March 29, 2006

As a full time pro patroller, I needed a boot I could wear for 9+ hours, but I didn't want to give up alpine boot performance. This is the best of both worlds. Scarpa hit a home run with this one.

Last Year's Scarpa Denali

By:
December 30, 2002

This is the first AT boot I’ve ever bought (last year’s model). Was worried I wouldn’t have enough support. They were definitely stiff enough. And really lightweight. I’m a female, but bought the Men’s size 7 (I’m a Women’s size 10).

Denali XT AT Boot

By:

Awesome boot! It fit perfectly and it is true that you need one size less than normal [as Scarpa uses UK sizing]. One feature that is pretty cool is that it has a rubber sole, so no more ass falling due to plastic on ice.

great boots

By:

I use these boots for about 70% resort and 30% BC and they are perfect. Not much of a difference from a reg. alpine boot except the rocker sole which means that you can not use these boots w/ regular bindings. I ski the denali's very hard and they are working great!

This boot is the best ski boot I have ever owned period.

Beats out all tele, and alpine boots I have owned in the past.

No Regrets

By:

These boots are pretty comfy on the uphill (though probably a little stiffer than a light touring setup) and can be cranked down pretty stiff (almost as stiff as Tecnica Explosion 8s, my other boots) for the downhill. The liners conform to your feet better than you might expect. The only problem I've had is the walk/flex dial on the back has a propensity to come loose as well as interfere a bit with crampons. No biggie.
